I actually think Maxwell is a bit of a risk at the price he commanded. Given he's taken time out early in the Australian Domestic season as he worked through some mental health challenges, it leaves a question about whether his head will be 100% where it needs to be - then again, he's being paid a lot of money to make sure it is....

Absolutely, I think he is a bit of a gamble but then even without his self imposed break he had always been a high risk, high reward pick. He also had a pretty rough time of it in Delhi in the 2018 IPL and you could say he's ended up at one of the lesser franchises in KXIP who have undergone a lot of changes for the 2nd year running.
Still, I reckon he's worth taking a punt on given there are few players in the world who can do what he can do on his day and he played well for Australia on their last tour of India which should hold him in good sted
