TL;DR - Yuk. I set off in the dry and then 2 minutes later the rain started. Pretty windy here too

Well, its the weekend! (its a long since I've been able to say that as I usually work the flipping thing haha. Started the new job 2 days ago and as it is a generic 9-5 office job, it means I will now have every weekend off.

Good news is I'm really enjoying the change in scene, the bad news is that on my first day I was given a laptop. I will use it while at work, and I will also be using it for home-working when I am trained up. Its cool, but it does mean I have bring it to work with me each day. And this has scuppered my plans to run home from work a couple of times a week. Now I'll have to get the bus home, then head back out in the evening. Oh well

Anyway, todays run was a little longer today. As I will only mange short (approx 30 mins) runs during the week, I will be aiming to make the weekend run a longer one. Today was only 7km but I will be increasing that over time. I was gonna do 10km, but the weather is grim out there today. Strong winds, rain, and literally freezing.... its not pleasant lol.

I decided at the last minute to put a hat and some gloves on, and I'm glad I did!I chose to do the bypass route, but instead of running all the way to the 2nd roundabout, I turned around halfway and ran back into the village, and then did a quick loop at the end.

7.28km - 45 minutes... Job Done. Now for a nice warm shower and I can enjoy the rest of my weekend
