@steevc just finished a 5.56km run, that lasted for 33 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 397.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
Today was just a run to stretch my legs. I should be running at parkrun tomorrow, so did not was to wear myself out. I have been in the pool a few times this week where I have a bit of a swim. That is getting easier as I build some arm strength.

I opted for the new road over to Stotfold today. That gave me a view towards the towers of Fairfield where I usually run. After crossing the bridge over the bypass I ran through Etonbury Wood and on up to the school. There were not too many kids around at that time, but it would get busy later.

The new road has been open for a while now, but it gives me extra route options. On the way back to Arlesey I diverted to run by the fields and allotments. The grass has been cut there, so it was easy going. It may get to 26C today, but it is cooler in the morning. I was still warm when I got home.

The pace was not too bad. My hip tendon and back are feeling fine now so I can push a little harder. Strava reckons I could do 5km in well under 27 minutes. I managed that at parkrun a few weeks ago, but have been slower for the last weeks as I was pacing. I will give it a go for a better time tomorrow. I may have another swim today today too.

I do not have any other running events planned, but I am happy just to work on my fitness over the summer. I do have some music events lined up though and need to get in shape for those.

Run free and have fun.

It’s rather exciting to have a new road open near you. That’s a rare thing as UK have only built like only 100 miles or so of roadways in the last decade.

I enjoy seeing your runs!

This road at least gives an alternative route into the village, but there will be hundreds of new houses built around it. That will be somewhere else to explore. This area is going to change over the next few years.

Nice route choice and great to hear your hip and back are doing better good luck on your parkrun time tomorrow

Nice job on your run. I haven't worked out the past two days, but I have been working in our yard and given the heat I have been sweating like a beast. My wife looked at me today and commented that she only has about 6000 steps for the day, but she has almost two hours of active minutes!

I can't do so much if it gets really hot. At least I can have a swim that will cool me down a little whilst getting some exercise. I don't log that though.

I hear you there. I went disc golfing with my buddy this morning and we decided to go at 8:30 AM before it got too bad. I was still dripping by the time we finished!
