I have had a fairly intensive week with running or cycling every day since Thursday, but I wanted to get out today even if it was not as long a run as usual. It was really bright and warm today so I headed out over the fields towards Henlow Camp. There were quite a few other runners out. Some of the paths run through the middle of ploughed fields, but there is a compacted strip that was all dried up. It has not rained for a while. One of the big local crops is rapeseed which has the distinctive yellow flowers.

On the way back I cross a small bridge over the river into the meadow where a load of traveller horses graze. They field was a little muddy and a bunch of horses had congregated around the gate I needed to use to get out. I had to nudge them out of the way and a lady walking her dog had to duck under the fence to get around them.

I was really not feeling up to doing my usual 10km+, but I still managed a reasonable distance for the week and I will rest for a couple of days apart from getting to work. With the current coronavirus paranoia I see people crossing the road to keep their distance from others. In my case I may just be smelly from getting so sweaty. I was really warm by the end today.

I have a few chores today. I expect a lot of houses will be much tidier when this is over. The local Facebook group features a many posts where people are giving stuff away. Some areas of our house are being tidied for the first time in a long while. I also had another virtual open mic last night where we used Zoom. The audio is not always ideal, but it was fun to socialise with my friends.

I hope people are keeping their spirits up. Stay positive in these trying times.

You have uploaded 115 running activities, and 38 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 38 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 267.24 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:57 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.86min/km!
Looks like you went a bit faster than usual this time! Nice work!
Have a !BEER for your troubles!

Our government are talking about restricting our movements more and that could affect exercise. The problem is some people are flaunting the current rules and going out to picnic or sunbathe. I appreciate it's tough if you just have an apartment though. We are lucky to have a big garden and lots of countryside.

I actually saw some police around the village today, which is rare. Not sure if they were checking for people being out when they shouldn't be.

I am lucky. It's the swings and roundabouts of living in the country. Less amenities, but closer to nature.

Beautiful shots! We have been lucky that the weather has been pretty decent lately. I actually can't remember the last time my wife and I didn't get out of the house for a walk.

It was a glorious morning and it's been blue skies all day. I've spent most of the day in the garden.

Nice run anyways. And yes, sweat keeps viruses at bay :)

Some need a sauna to sweat, but a good run does it for me with added benefits :)
