Morning Run - Streaking

I just finished a 3.182km running that lasted about 0hh:19mm:47ss !

No, not that kind of streaking. I am talking about running every day. I have been running 3 or 4 days each week, so I would do some consecutive days, but I am going to try doing that for longer. This is just the third day in a row with 7km on Saturday and 13km yesterday. I thought it would be best to not try to go too far.

My run was just 'around the block' in the Church End part of Arlesey. After all the rain yesterday it was not bad out. Still fairly humid though. This may be my shortest run in a long time, but it felt hard, even at a fairly slow pace.

I will have to see if I can sustain this. I still want to be able to do things like interval training. Maybe my body will adapt.

One, slightly gross, effect of my running more each week has been some toes looking a bit bruised under the nails and then I just noticed one of the toenails is coming off. I have not experienced that due to running before, but have heard of it with ultra-runners. It is not causing me any pain, so I am not too worried. I think the benefits I get from running outweigh the minor issues.

Doing daily runs is likely to mean me posting daily on Hive via @exhaust. I hope this is not going to upset anyone. I will still do posts on other topics.

Run free and stay well.

This is the first activity you've shared in this distance range! Post a few more, and we'll have some historic data to compare with! Keep getting EXHAUSTED!

Yikes! Running a ton makes your toenails fall off? Sounds like another good reason for me to avoid it! :) Great job!

LOL. Others run a lot more than me, but that can lead to knee and other problems. I am not doing too bad really.

Note that I didn't post pictures of my feet :)

The regular @exhaust posts is my worry too. I did not post some of my runs on exhaust just because I did not know how others feel about it.
It is impressive to run three consecutive days. I did not dare to run after that weekend 10K.

Well I will see how it goes. I know others do daily Actifit posts, but I try to add some interest to my @Exhaust posts. You can log on Exhaust without posting to Hive, but I don't know for sure if they count towards the totals.

That kind of steaking may help with the PB!

Finishing week 3 of C25K was a real struggle yesterday and I'm a little apprehensive about starting week 4. Odd as I've been here before but it seems to really be bothering me.

I don't have such a rigid schedule, but I do get some self-doubt about what I can achieve. I tend to surprise myself.

This is terrifying actually. What caused this? Tight shoes? I'm terrified of losing my toenails.

Keep up the good work though, hope you meet your target and all.

From what I have read it is down to the battering the toes take when you are running and it is quite common. You do need some room around the toes. I have not had this before, but then I am running more than ever. I don't expect it to slow me down.
