Morning Run - Easy like Sunday morning

I just finished a 10.528km running that lasted about 1hh:2mm:13ss !

After giving it everything yesterday I needed a gentler run today. It was not as long as I sometimes do on a Sunday, but that is about 18km over two days. It was a bit overcast and cool out there with a bit of wind in places, but is getting brighter now. Part of the purpose today was to check out a loop that is about 10km for my virtual Standalone 10k next weekend. For that I plan to be more rested and so should be quicker. I may be doing that with someone else.

It was pretty quiet out there. Just a few dog walkers and runners out. It was mostly my usual loop around Fairfield and Stotfold with a slight extension to get the distance up. My legs were definitely tired and I did not worry about the pace. It was just a matter of keeping going.

I have a few chores to do today as well as finishing off some coursework for my programming course. That is proving to be challenging.

Run free and stay well!

You have uploaded 194 running activities, and 31 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 31 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 327.07 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:49 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.909min/km!
Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too! If you weren't intending to go slower, take a moment to listen to your body, and see if you need something. Check in with yourself!

That’s a fair distance over two days, nice one!

I find it takes it out of me, but a couple of days is enough to recover my energy and I will be out again.

18 K in two days is quite a lot. I have done that for the past two weeks. One thing I can tell you from my runs is - the first run is much easier than the second run. I was merely counting the distance i was running and was never worried about the pace.
Good luck and take some rest 😀

I am experimenting with what I can do. Running every day for a week was hard, but then I ought to reduce the length of each run. It seems I can handle 30km+ each week now.

I think I was going to get off easy this weekend and then my wife asked me if I wanted to go for a walk yesterday and I couldn't really say no.

I had a pretty busy weekend of exercise, music and DIY. We took down our pool for the winter, although the weather is not too bad today. It had lost some water and was not worth re-filling. I'm taking it easier today.
