Morning Run - Hill start
I just finished a 7.474km running that lasted about 0hh:41mm:0ss !
It was looking brighter out today with some blue sky, but feeling autumnal and a little chilly. I ran along the High Street dodging puddles and pedestrians to West Drive. This 1km long straight is a road at the bottom, but generally quiet. It rises about 18m overall, which is enough to make you work a bit. I saw a friend walking his dog as I went up.
The track around Fairfield has a few more ups and downs. I saw quite a few runners for a weekday morning. We tend to nod, smile or wave as we pass even though I do not know them. We know what others are going through.
On my way back down the big hill I just went for it whilst resisting the temptation to look at my watch. It turned out to be my third quickest descent. Then it was back through the village avoiding the small kids. I took an extra loop around my block with another hill to climb. 50m+ is a fair bit over that distance.
I will get back to some intervals soon. The forecast for the next week is mixed, so cross-country may be messy for a while. That is always likely at this time of year. I have another half marathon to do this month. I will look at doing it at the weekend.
Run free and stay well.

I'm sure I saw that route on Crimewatch?
I was wearing my black and white stripey shirt and eye mask of course.
I did my full two mile workout this morning. It was the first time in a while I have done that. I have a feeling I am going to be a bit sore most of the day. Great job on your time!
Well done. 2 miles is a long way. Hope you recover quickly.
Every day is a good day when you run.
