Morning Run - Cool runnings

I just finished a 6.923km running that lasted about 0hh:39mm:17ss !

I heard it raining in the night and it was predicted to continue this morning, but it was okay when I went out. It was feeling cooler though. It was my usual loop of Fairfield, but I decided to do some fartlek sprints to get my legs moving.

I was fairly consistent on GAP (grade adjusted pace) today. I would like to keep it under 5:40/km. Strava gives you so many statistics, so I can see I was a little quicker than average on this route. The Fitness and Freshness graph suggests I am recovering some fitness recenly after losing it. That could be partly down to when I was not running due to hurting my back. A couple of years back I had a much higher score, so need to try and get back up there. It is a battle against age, but I should have a few good years of running in me yet. I need to keep up regular runs through each week without wearing myself out.

Run free and stay well.

Cheers. It can be hard to get up and out some days, but I've tried to make it a habit. Just not so keen when it's really wet.

yeah we have a windy season here. so it's super windy and running against the wind is not so much fun. Also, had an early morning meeting, but tomorrow is another day... !PIZZA

When we woke up yesterday our street was flooded. That is how much rain we got over the past couple of days. We had to take the truck in to work because I was afraid the car wouldn't make it through. By the time we got home the water was gone. I did a shorter workout this morning. I just wasn't feeling it, but I knew I needed to do something.

It's rained a lot here, but no flooding, unlike in London. Luckily our house is uphill a bit, so we are in little danger.

That is great luck. Getting flooded sucks for sure!
