Morning Run: Are you positive?

I just finished a 7.223km running that lasted about 0hh:41mm:41ss !

My other half has been feeling rough for a few days and tested positive for COVID today. I am okay and my test was negative, but I will be taking precautions. I still wanted to run today.

My legs are still sore from the weekend and I was really feeling it at the start. They did get better as I went on. I did the usualy loop up to and around Fairfield. There was a veritable crowd of people coming down as I went up, but I kept my distance.

I seemed to get quicker as I went on. I do like to keep my average pace under 6min/km. It did feel like hard work though. It was quite mild again out there and the sun has been shining since I got back.

I met a friend on the way back and had a brief chat. Then it back home for breakfast, shower and then work. I was due to go to the office tomorrow, but I have said I will stay home just in case I am infectious.

Run free and stay well.

My body is just a hot mess right now too. I can't think of a single place where I don't ache. It is pretty horrible. I didn't want to get up and exercise at all today, but I did, even if it was just a shorter than usual one. I made sure to get my heart rate up and keep moving for at least 15 minutes. Not my best effort, but at least it was a bit of an effort. Nice job on your run!

I hope things improve for you. I do have to push myself when my legs feel like this, but then it can be okay once I'm out.

Yeah, that is often the case with me. Aches and pains aside, I still don't enjoy getting up so early to work out. I am always glad I did it after the fact though.

I hope your wife makes it through the illness okay. We had it here and it was nothing more than a small cold, except for the fact that my taste and smell are still quite off. It's been about three months and I still have a strong metalic taste in my mouth and can't smell or taste everything correctly. I now hate beer too.. that may be the worst part of it hehe. NO BEER!!!

I hope you stay asymptomatic or don't get it. Although getting it may not be bad for your immune system in general. Enjoy the running 😁

Cheers.

Something that lingers that long is worse than just a cold :( We are all jabbed up, so I hope that reduces the effects.

You can still have a virtual !BEER

You need to stake more BEER (24 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)

I cannot run that long I assure you, but I walk about 10 kms every 3 days😅. A habit that takes a toll on the sole of my feet(plantar aspect).

We each do what we can. I do not expect everyone to do what I do.
