Soča river fairy tale

After Saturday spent on snow Sunday was completely different.

We've spent the night at the parking of the Kanin base station and slept until 10 am. It felt good to be able to sleep late. After the breakfast we have moved to Čezsoča to the Prijon sports center to have a cup of coffee in a beautiful surroundings by the river Soča.

The coffee was delicious.

Then we moved down by the river to visit the Boka waterfall.

The beauty of this waterfall is worth a quote:

The most water-rich and mightiest waterfall in Slovenia, with a total height of 144 metres and width of 18 metres, is also one of the most majestic waterfalls in Europe.

There is a reasonably steep hiking trail which leads you to several ledges from which you can admire the waterfall.

Going further up and closer.

Nature is wonderful and magnificent.

We continued our journey downstream while the riverbed was becoming broader.

Soča is world famous for its turquoise color.

Our last stop was in Nova Gorica skate park.

When we finally came home it was already late. Yet we took time for a family doggy walk by the river Sava.

All was left was to unpack the gear (winter and summer sports equipment), go for a very short run and fall asleep.

There is no other way to sum it up - it was a beautiful day spent in a great company.
