Venezuelan Independence Day: between fever and hope [Eng/Esp]
Today in my country the 5th of July is celebrated as Venezuela's Independence Day, even though it is a holiday, I had to go out with my daughters to the pediatric hospital Agustin Subillaga to have them both checked because of the change of weather, they have symptoms such as fever, headache, general malaise, cough....
On the way there, I saw several cats nearby and decided to take a picture of them. I continued my walk with my daughters, I saw a tree with large roots that, instead of being buried, had them on the surface, I was impressed.

I was not far from the hospital, I bought a mask because they ask for them at the health center, I had a nice coffee. I passed by a place where they sell tequeños and I could not resist to buy and eat with my daughters.

Once inside the hospital, I saw something new and was pleased because they're providing a service for bathing and toileting. It will be very helpful for locals and foreigners to have this service, which is sometimes sought but not found.
At the pediatric hospital they attended to my daughters quickly, because there were no people waiting, the doctor started asking me why I had brought Rogmary, he weighed her and told me that he was going to send her for tests. He ordered her to take paracetamol pills, since she is old enough to take pills.
The dose was half the pill and with Rogsanny they auscultated her, and they didn't hear any noises, they told me she was fine inside. They sent her, it was an anti-allergic and the lab tests.

En el camino para allá, observé varios gatos cerca a los que decidí tomarle una foto. Seguí mi caminando con mis hijas,vi un árbol con unas raíces grandes que, en vez de tenerla enterrada, las tenía en la superficie, me impresionó.

Ya faltando poco para llegar al hospital, compré tapabocas porque los piden en el centro de salud, me tomé un rico café. Pasé por donde venden tequeños y no me pude resistir a comprar y comer con mis hijas.

Cuando ya estaba adentro de las instalaciones del hospital, vi algo nuevo y me contentó, porque están prestando el servicio para que se bañen y hagan sus necesidades fisiológicas. A las personas de aquí y foráneas les ayudará mucho contar con esté servicio que aveces se busca y no se encuentra.
Ya en el hospital pediátrico atendieron rápido a mis hijas, porque no había personas esperando, el doctor me empezó a preguntar por qué traje a Rogmary, me la pesó y me dijo que le iba a mandar a hacer unos exámenes. Le mandó a tomar acetaminofén en tabletas, ya que por la edad que tiene ella puede consumir pastillas.
La dosis fue la mitad de la pastilla y con Rogsanny la auscultaron, y no escucharon ruidos, me dijeron que estaba bien por dentro. Le mandaron, fue un antialérgico y los exámenes de laboratorio.

Haciendo hincapié el doctor sí la tos persiste hacer los exámenes de laboratorio, de lo contrario no. Aproveché de ir al laboratorio, había cola para preguntar por los exámenes, la hice, ya con los precios, me fui a la casa para decirle a mi esposo.

En el trayecto del camino, vi que tenían la bandera izada en una de las casas y le tomé fotos e igual por otras calles. En Venezuela es una costumbre, cuando es un día festivo, izar la bandera porque eso es respeto a nuestros símbolos patrios; de esta manera se honran.

Solo me queda la esperanza que este malestar por lo que atraviesan mis hijas pasará pronto. Sin más que agregar, me despido hasta un próximo encuentro.
