Silvertop where are you???😳
This was a text I got when me and the Mrs were up on top of Sumas Mountain today!
Little Silvertop came out.... and he went exploring..... just over there............😇
Technology ....it’s amazing, we are exploring Gold Creek Trail, we are in the middle of a forested Mountain and @elizabethbit is texting where are you!😯
The Mrs also texted our youngest son Bill (32), and he texted Dad that I better get back to the mining cabin..... Mom was worried!😁🥰
This hand hewed log cabin was built in 1891, and the local hiking club helped restore it.
It has a woodstove, and very rustic bunk beds. You can camp here first come first served free!!!😊
Did I say rustic!!!😁
What an awesome hike, we will return, and next time we are going to find the “Gold mines!”
This @actifit hike is definitely in the Mountains. 91 UPHILL floors, and at one point the Mrs stumbled on a steep drop off........😯

I enjoyed reading this post as you vividly describe what you saw inside the old cabin. Thanks for bringing us along! Are you a member of a local hiking club? It is good that you have cell towers that allows you to have signal to send and receive calls & texts. What a blessing technology is. My Dad recounted to me how amazed he was (he was still in school then) watching the moon landing... and his thoughts were: how is it that Nasa can talk to the astronauts who were hundreds of thousands of miles away, and watch them walk to the moon. At that time, there were no cell phones yet.
