First Snow at the Lake / Erster Schnee am See

Last night really it snowed for the first time this winter at Lake Wörthersee.

Letzte Nacht hat es zum ersten Mal diesen Winter am Wörthersee richtig geschneit.

I know that the Winter will only start in a few days, but it was snowing anyway ;)

The weather forecast predicted up to 20 centimeters, but here we had about 10 to 12 centimeters this morning, I did not measure though.

Ich weiß, dass der Winter erst in ein paar Tagen beginnt, aber es hat trotzdem geschneit ;)

Der Wetterbericht sagte bis zu 20 Zentimeter voraus, aber hier hatten wir heute Morgen etwa 10 bis 12 Zentimeter, aber nachgemessen habe ich nicht.

On the way to my morning walk in the snow, I first drove around Lake Wörthersee and in Reifnitz it was already bright enough for a few photos.

Auf dem Weg zu meinem Morgenspaziergang im Schnee bin ich heute zuerst um den Wörthersee gefahren und in Reifnitz ist es bereits hell genug gewesen für ein paar Fotos.

On the panorama photo above, from left to right you can see the village of Reifnitz with the Reifnitz Castle, then the church of Maria Wörth, at the very back you can see Velden and on the right side is the village of Pörtschach at the Wörthersee.

Auf dem Panoramafoto oben sieht man von links nach rechts die Ortschaft Reifnitz mit dem Schloss Reifnitz, dann die Kirche von Maria Wörth, ganz hinten kann man Velden erkennen und auf der rechten Seite ist Pörtschach am Wörthersee.

Because of the cloudy sky, there was no sunrise to be seen, and only where the clouds were less dense you could see a slight glow of the morning sun.

Wegen des bewölkten Himmels war kein Sonnenaufgang zu sehen gewesen, und nur dort, wo die Wolken etwas lichteten, hat man einen leichten Schein der Morgensonne erkennen können.

After these photos I drove to the reservoir of the Drau river in the Rosental valley. On the way there I was able to drive partly on a nice snowy road, what was great fun again.

Nach diesen Fotos bin ich ins Rosental zum Drau Stausee gefahren. Auf dem Weg dorthin konnte ich zum Teil auf einer schönen Schneefahrbahn fahren. Das hat wieder einmal riesigen Spaß gemacht.

@johannpiber, Wow, I've never saw Snow Land physically but in these pictures it's reflecting as this Snow is Sprinkled by the Creator, like a Artist does while creating his/her epic Art Piece. Stay blessed.

The first snow ... easy long time exposures, just the panorama was a bit !DERANGED to make, because I was standing in the snow at the water ;)

Soon you can go out yourself again, my friend, but first you have to get healthy.

Our Temps have bene on average 5 or 20 Degrees cooler than normal for this time of year, today the sun is a !DERANGED lightweight and is hiding away somewhere

Ohh yes the weather is strange and !DERANGED for sure i think its partly cyclic, but also due to man made effects onthe planet, I have a et peeve with the term global warming I must prefer Climate change as some get stuck on how can it be global warming then the winter is so cold

That's a good question - why is it called global warming when the winter is so cold? I have never thought of that, but our winter is warm, at least for a few days ;)
Climate is changing, that's for sure, but this theme is not one I can talk about much.
I just try to make most things right and care for the nature, but I also like so many things which are not so good for her, just as there are my car and my motorbike ;)

Yeah I get you, but i guess I can pretend i am doing my Bit by taking he train into te city rather than driving, but in reality it’s only because its easier , I avoid the traffic on the highway, and lastly taking a nap while driving generally isn’t a good idea LOL

My commuting would take about 50-60 minutes if I'd go by bus instead of about 10-15 minutes by car, and I can sleep in my office ;)

Going to work i could probably save about 15 to 20 Minutes or more, but coming home i see the delays and backups onthe highway and know the train must be quicker, but that said I have never driven into the office so I could be wrong, but i do enjoy my morning nap on the train

If I had to drive a longer distance I might also decide to go by bus or train, but for 10 kilometers I don't like it.
The good thing is, that the traffic jam is always on the other side of the road: in the morning when I leave the city they come into the city for work, and it is the oposite way in the afternoon when I drive home :)

At 7:43 is is -4C here but by midday it will warm up to 1C :)

Always when my family says that I am !DERANGED I ask them to call a doctor to get me into an asylum, and that I want some nice blonde nurses there, which give me my pills and injections, but nobody calls a doctor ever ;) lol

Well I do remember back when I smashed both of my knees and was stuck in hospital for a few days when I was 19 , I doont remember much about the hospital to be honest but I do remember the Blonde Nurse who did the night shift LOL

I haven't been often in a hospital, I think it was only two or three times many years ago, but all nurses I remember have been older women - you had good luck in bad luck ;)

Yes I remember that I am good at forgiving and in most case forgetting, but some things just stick and can not be forgotten no matter how much we may try, but in nost cases it is filled away and not to often comes to mind

I just wrote in the other reply, that we have 8C / 46F by now and it is raining outside - no snow, no ice, but it's raining all around.
It has been raining so !DERANGED much, that I could only make two photos while the rain stopped for a few minutes, and then I got quite wet when I went back to the car.

Tomorrow will be my next attempt to make some photos ;)

I have decided for the new Year I will only be doing one post a day for the most part,, but if I get my steps in I will do an actifit post inthe evening

I have 8 Festive post prepared, so will share two a day for three more days, then one on Wednesday and Friday, then may take a break till Sunday or Monday doing posts

I have got one !MARLIANS in a comment the other day - same with the !shop tokens, but I don't know how often you can send them (the shop I think one per day per 10 shop tokens).

Hoffentlich stimmt es auch.

Hier war für gestern mit 78% Wahrscheinlichkeit starker Regen usw. angesagt.

Ich war eben mal draußen, alles knochentrocken. Einen Tropfe habe ich abbekommen der sich wohl verirrte.

So viel zur Vorhersage.

Und da wollen die das Klima in 0 Jahren kennen.

Solange der Mensch nicht reinpfuscht, weiß sie schon, was sie tut und macht es auch richtig, aber 7 Monate ohne Regen sind wirklich lange.

Winter holidays without snow are no holidays, you are completely right @suzana72. Our snow will melt in the next days, because it becomes quite warm, but I do hope that it snows at Christmas, just as every year ;)

I do love snow in the winter and on the mountains, and I love walking in the snow. The cold is not that cold, when you have thick winter boots and winter clothing on, what I do have 🙂
So, you only have to be afraid of the cold snow, if you try to make a snow walk wearing your flip-flop ;)
