Ghosts of the past. Actifit Diary 25th of March 2026

It was still raining in the morning when the cat woke me. Right on time. 6am. 15min of lying around. Then up and away. Well, not really. It took a while to get into gear and over to the gym, but 7.30am is 45min earlier than usually, when Lily is with me.

I wasn’t as tired as yesterday, but the project “going to bed early” was disrupted by my steps being counted wrongly. For quite a while, the most active time frame, my watch had reported 0 steps to health connect. While my watch stated 13k, HC was at 6k. Not cool. So I disconnected, reconnected, tried everything for too long and then it was late. I thought maybe a night of sleep would solve the problem. It didn’t. So I restarted all devices in the morning, just after noticing that it was again reporting 0 steps. Meaning, today it’s only around 200 steps difference between the watch and the reported. That’s acceptable.

I spent all morning going through old chats. A requirement. I was putting it off for too long, but I have to continue where I left the documentation of the case. Hopefully it won’t be necessary, but it’s something that is good to have. Proof, maybe. But that’s not everything. The biggest part is confronting myself with it again. To analyze my mistakes, and make sure that I don’t repeat them. And to go through her part again, too, to see that I’m not mistaken. To not let my natural “it wasn’t that bad” blur the facts. It really did happen.

Around 1pm, I stopped that. Had lunch. Went out do walk and clear my mind and do some shopping. I had a nice talk with Daniel, who gave me some good news. And now, I was tired. I hadn’t taken a nap, nor did I meditate, so no rest that day. But the walking refreshed me.

In the evening, I walked to a friend’s place and we had tacos with Ellie and her brother Ducrecio. It was an interesting evening in the sky, with beautiful, playful light and sudden openings around Mt. Cotacachi. I’ll probably make a photo post about this.

Try not to stress with what's on your 'to do' list. I'm like the worst for it, so it's almost like the 'pot calling the kettle, black' as the saying goes, lol!
