Description from Strava: I know it was only meant be a short midweek stay, but its already time to head home. We've had a brilliant couple of days away and lots of cool stuff, and there was time for one last walk before we start to head back.

Today we went on the hunt for Butterflies at Dowels Brook in the Wyre Forest, there were plenty of butterflies to see, but the one we were hoping for was a Silver-washed Fritillary. There were lots of them whizzing around in the sunshine, but so difficult to photograph. It wasn't until we were nearly back to the car at the end of the walk, when we spotted one sat on a random bush feeding on some flowers.

It was a fitting end to a very productive couple of days, and ive got lots to share in the next couple of posts. For now though, its time for the long drive home, and a much needed rest!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

It's so beautiful in places, so we walk more so we can see more beautiful natural sights.

It was a very enjoyable walk in the sunshine, nice and warm but not uncomfortably hot!
