Lunch Run - 11.5km (injury has gone, touch wood!)
@dannewton just finished a 11.64km run, that lasted for 70 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 935.0 calories.
Description from Strava: After the injury to my left leg appeared last week (about 10 days ago), i noticed the warning signs quite early on an immediately stopped running. Since then, ive mostly stuck to active recovery, with plenty of walking to keep everything moving
as a rule i dont like stopping exercising completely as i think that does more harm than good
I did do a little run last sunday (6 days ago) to test it, and while the soreness was still present, it was much reduced compared to when it first flared up. Confident that the active recovey was helping, I continued with the no running, and instead enjoyed a few days away walking in the Wyre Forest.
Now back home, I tried an easy 5km run yesterday, and a longer 10km run today... amd am pleased to report that whatever the injury was on my left hip adductor, it has appeared to have gone away again (touch wood!)
The tightness in my right calf has presented itself again, but I suspect thats mostly down to decrease in running (along with the stretching after running). I'll be getting back on top of this now. And not a moment too soon, as from Monday i'll be getting back into the run commute to work and back 4 days a week... dont have time to faff around with injuries!
For the rest of today, i'll be helping to redo the garden pond (its been leaking for the past 6 months, and we can't find the hole, need to take it all out and try again). And then tomorrow will be the last day of my holiday, and I'll head over to Waddington to visit my brother
Hope everyone else is enjoying the weekend too!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

That's good news. My hip tendon issue lingered for a very long time, but I've not noticed it recently. I kept running anyway, but now I feel I could push harder. I may not run tomorrow though as I've been out for two days in a row.
Pond leaks can be tricky. I installed a rigid pond this year that I hope will last a while. I had one with a sheet liner a few years back and that eventually leaked. I think plant roots can get through in the end.
Pleased to hear you are over your injury too :-)
I kept suggesting a rigid pond shape, but she said she didn't like any of the shapes. The previous pond was from an old piece of pond liner from her parents, it was old and must have degraded as from the start there was a tiny leak, and we just couldn't find it.
Finally bit the bullet and bought a new liner to start from scratch, and 3 days later its currently still full of water!
I do love a pond and I hope mine will attract some wildlife. It's got plenty of plants for now as we bought some and were given others.
