Afternoon Run - 10km (new backpack race vest thing)

dannewton just finished a 10.55km run, that lasted for 65 minutes.

Description from Strava: Goddamn its Monday again... these weeks are flying past so quickly!

I was working from home today, which was a good thing as it meant I was at home to receive the parcel from Harrier. I mentioned in a previous post about needing a new backpack/running vest thing to carry the recommended kit for the Marathon in 4 weeks.

And after 3 days of in-depth research (i.e. a million youtube videos) I made my decision and went for the Harrier 10L Kinder vest. I decided to get some other bits and pieces from the website as it was cheaper if I bought it all together, along with free express delivery which was also a plus.

There are things like a tiny first aid kit, and an emergency blanket, along with dry bags and a hat amongst other things. I think I'm gonna write a seperate post on all the stuff (there is quite a lot of kit to work through!)

Anyway, todays run was a generic 10km up the bypass and back, nothing exciting, just racking up the miles. It was cooler than I expected, but not too bad, and we seemed to avoid the rain that was forecast this evening.

The exciting bit will be the unboxing and unwrapping and putting all my new kit together. I think I might even load everything up and take it out on my un on Wednesday. There's only a few weeks available to get used to wearing it, and working out the best way to utilize it.

Besides, the 25th March is only 27 days away!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
