running on snow

avatar

Running in the forest and on the snow with some parts on asphalt. It was great to go there where there were no steps in the snow except the occasional deer tracks.

The shoes, Inov-8 Roclite 350 are ideal for this kind of run.

In the summer this part is covered with fern bush which is well above your head.

Nobody, not even the deer, wasn't threading here.

An opportunity to run down the hill.

A view across the river Sava and the plains toward Šmarna gora to the right.

A short loop it was. Yet, I gathered more than 100 meters of climb. All in all, a nice run.

How you guys do it. I just had a few powerwalks and already got the cold...

I don't know. I guess I am used to it :)

Honestly, for me is much easier running on snow in minus degrees than running in the summer heat.

Take care and get well.

I find the cold easier than heat for running and have run on snow a few times. We just don't get much. I did do parkrun in Berlin with snow a few years back.

Enjoy your runs.

Great choice of shoes ;-) I got the Roclites the other month too. ALMOST as good as the x talons.
Love the photos and excellent running as always

These roclites are 350 and tex-something. Not gore though. Before last winter I was searching for a winter/snow shoes in my local store and these were the the only available. It was a good choice!

Yes, X-Talons are great too. I have Inov-8 X-Talon 212 for five years now. They are at the end of their road and being replaced by Salming Elements 3.
