Cold And Nice Friday - We Are Alive IAAC #660 - Actifit: January 28, 2022

On my Friday it was mostly cold and dry weather, which was really nice, and I got a few pictures as well.

I had planned for relaxing a bit in the day but got held up helping out someone who got their Hive account hacked, so that is what I focused on.

Please make sure to never sync your keys without encrypting them first, using KeePass or another secure password manager allows you to sync your encrypted database file without risking anyone stealing your keys.

As to the rest of my online activities I focused on the daily tasks, and wrote a bit on the email follow up for Hive Introduction, as well as published a plan for increasing the rewards to delegators for @thisisawesome.

This is also my day 28 (145) in participation of the #POLIAC competition run by @poliac aka @browery.

Thanks a lot Ben, and yeah key security is very important, if you sync or backup online it needs to have very strong encryption before doing that, and I am not talking about https, but file encryption, I have set the encryption on my password manager so strong that it takes my device a full second to even test a password once.

Same reason people buy insurance no one thinks it will happen to them till it does.
I have read several stories now about peoples accounts being hacked on Hive.
Going to be increasing my security for sure.

Nice photos too! It must be really cold with icicles (beautiful) and ice floating on the river!

Thank you very much Lee, and those icicles was just forming there when the water was dropping, so around freezing, whether that is cold or not is relative to the person lol, and great to hear that you found the advice for key security useful, maybe I should do a complete guide on it, enjoy your new week ahead.
