Hello,

Round 1 of Consolation Cup Eliminations is over. We have seen a lot of W/Os. Is it communications issue or players are simply not interested in participating? I don't know. In previous seasons I used to ping players for reports. Not anymore - I simply don't have that much spare time to chase everyone.

You can post with either TODAY or YESTERDAY option. Still, if for any reason you don't manage to do that, I'll give everyone 24h (counting from my post for given Match Day) to supply a proof of activity (screenshot of @actifit Activity History) in comment section of the relevant MAcFiT post. This said, the burden of the proof is on the player, I won't chase anyone.

Latest Matches - Season 6 Eliminations

Consolation Cup - Round 1, leg 2

P1: @dontcare89 vs bye
P2: @axel-mccornstack vs bye

"bye" means automatic promotion to the next round as well as two ranking points

P3: @kiel91 vs @zireal86 30:0 (11486-???) - W/O due to no report from @zireal86 for Jan 31
First Leg: 30:0 (6631-???); Winner: @kiel91 (double W/O; winner's score for seeding in Round 2: 18)

P4: @notak vs @soluce07 5:5 (5012-5347)
First Leg: 30:0 (10059-???); Winner: @notak (a W/O and a tie, aggregate score 35:5; winner's score for seeding in Round 2: 15)

First Leg: 6:8 (6040-8364); Winner: @griega (a win and W/O, aggregate score 6:8; winner's score for seeding in Round 2: 8)

two-sided W/O is not equal to a tie. The plaeyrs don't get Ranking points in such situation.

P8: @krakonos vs @markhodge 11:14 (10970-13927)
First Leg: 5:13 (5121-13259); Winner: @markhodge (2 wins, aggregate score 16:27)

congrats to @markhodge - he was the only player who advanced without W/O granted by their oponent.

Round 2 of Eliminations

Consolation Cup

Winners from Round 1 of Consolation Cup qualifiers are matched against losers from Champions League Round 1. The best will face the worst from the latter group. Sorting is by aggregate score from Round 1. Due to W/Os in Round 1 of CC eliminations, the players who advanced with W/O in their favor will be sorted by their actual step counts. The two players who got "bye's", will top their group for the sake of seeding (which is fair, because the "bye's" resulted from good performance in the pre-qualifications).

Round 1 CC Losers vs CL Winners

P1: (CL1) @romualdd vs @griega(CC8)
P2: (CL2) @martusamak vs @notak (CC7)
P3: (CL3) @milabogomila vs @kiel91 (CC6)
P4: (CL4) @homesteadlt vs @mushanov (CC5)
P5: (CL5) @zimnaherbata vs @stefannikolov (CC4)
P6: (CL6) @davidesimoncini vs @markhodge (CC3)
P7: (CL7) @sandraa1 vs @dontcare89 (CC2)
P8: (CL8) @kwsnomzys vs @axel-mccornstack (CC1)

Matches are on this coming SATURDAY (Feb 5) and MONDAY (Feb 7)

The 8 winners will advance to Consolation Cup main phase. The losing sides will have to wait for Season 7 for their next chance.

I wish everyone here good luck and I do hope that there are no W/Os.

@aliveprojects Eliminations Award

The best player eliminated in Round 2 of Consolation Cup qualifiers, will receive a special prize sponsored by @aliveprojects - 100 ALIVE. It will be decided by total score across both rounds of qualifiers. Current standings:

I have highlighted players who, in each pair, have LOWER score from Round 1.

For the players who got "bye", I will double their Round 2 score.

Champions League

seeded players are matched against player coming from Round 1. The highest seeded faces the winner of Round 1 with the lowest aggregate score in that round. Due to W/Os in Round 1 of CL eliminations, the players who advanced with W/O in their favor will be sorted by their actual step counts

P1: (S1) @ptaku vs @davidthompson57 (Q8)
P2: (S2) @ilodz24hd vs @pjansen (Q7)
P3: (S3) @flaxz vs @asia-pl (Q6)

at this stage, even if you lose and don't get into Champions League, you are still in Consolation Cup.

So, life dragged me down and I didn't post. I didn't even realize it until I woke up! Not sure how to post now, but I was active.

You can post up to 23:59hrs after your activity (using "Yesterday" option). So the last moment to post a report for Monday, Jan 31, was Tuesday, Feb 1, 23:59. As I said in the post, if you have missed that deadline, I can stil verify your result if you provide screenshot from "Activity History" for the Match Day (Jan 31 in this case). To play fair with your oponent, @griega can do the same and then I will evaluate both results.

Hey Becca, @liftslikealady that would have been the post of the 1st then. Although it doesn't matter, I didn't get past 7,000 on the 31st, so judging by your screenshot you won that match! Congrats! 👏🥳 (@merthin)

@liftslikealady - thanks for the proof of activity. Your score changes the result in your favor

@griega - from your reply, can I assume that you are ok with it? If you had a score of 7, then the aggregate score would be 20:15 in favor of your oponent and the she would enter Round 2.

Yes, @merthin I'm OK with it! She won this match with a larger difference than I won the other match, so I understand she continues and I'm eliminated! 😜
Congratulations @liftslikealady! 👏🥳

@griega - based on this situation and conversation, I think I should have a FAIR PLAY award pool. Thank you.
I will update the setup for Round 2.

@liftslikealady - you will replace @griega in Round 2. Your matches are on this coming SATURDAY and on MONDAY

@griega thank you! This has been fun. It is little things like this that male me go out and keep getting some walks or jogs in, in addition to all the life activity I normally have.

Thanks for the update and the mention, @merthin!
I'm glad I won on Saturday! 🥳
I'm not sure what happened to my opponent @liftslikealady on Monday. I had a decent step count, but when I went to post on Tuesday I found that both my connections were down and I couldn't post! It's very frustrating when that happens!
Congratulations to all the winners so far! 👏
Let's keep stepping!!
Have a nice week ✨
