Home at Last (Bed Weather Days)

We spent most of today sleeping and only woke up just before lunch time. After which, I went outdoors to check on things and for a quick phone charge in the car. The strong winds and rains are still raging outside and have no sign of weakening. The tall trees by the east side of the yard are swaying in various directions. Scary to see but I'm just glad they are there serving as buffers and controlling the gusts from landing hard on our house's roofs and walls.

We have been having a wet weather since the start of the week that turned out to be a storm. Hope it will go away real soon. I'm quite sure this has already brought havoc to most crops but hopefully not.

These steps were of yesterday afternoon by the way. After coming home from mom's place, I did some home chores, tidying and sorting things up, vacuuming my little office. Also walking in and out of the house taking things from the car. I brought 3 bags with me (well 5 including 2 gadget packs) when we went out of the house on Monday morning. It's partially the husband's fault because he wants to make sure I won't be asking him to come home to take things. Also, my brother told me that mum might spend 5 days or more at the hospital. But I am just glad she didn't.

Although I was quite tired, I did not want things to be lying around the house so after bringing the bags indoors, I did the unpacking too, sorting the laundry as well. The husband took care of the outside stuff making sure everything in the yard and in the porch are safe and secured from the strong gusts.

We had early dinner after taking showers. We were both exhausted and went to bed at 7 and have not been bothered by the downpour outside. Hospital stays aren't cool for they drain my energy even when I do not do much.

Well, it's late afternoon now and hoping the power will come back. It's been a good break.
