My Actifit Journal: Sep 11 2023
Heya Hiva,
Ready or not.. here I come!
So today I decided to go around cleaning some of the same windows, which I found myself inquisitively peering through just yesterday. Bucket of soapy water and squeegee in hand, I embarked on what would be yet another incredible journey of deep reflection. Whilst enjoying the gentle rays of sunlight striking my now somewhat pale skin, I noticed that a couple of snails may have gotten wet with some of the slightly soapy run off. Mindful of the fact that this may not be in their best interest, I decided to fetch a hose pipe to give my shelled friends some fresh water (hoping that it may reduce any potential harm). That is when I saw something hiding in the shadows.
Not yet knowing what lay before me, and my own instinctual reaction as a result thereof still uncertain.. I was mindful to proceed both with caution as well as consideration for the little creature. As the garden hose was gently unwound, something magnificent emerged. This little miracle of nature gave me the vibe of being shy, tired, and perhaps even ravaged by time. I tried to be very careful, with gently coaxing the lizard out of harms way. At some point, there was a little leap to a lower level.
Through all of this, I was blessed with an opportunity to capture its full splendour on display. Much later on though (when carefully analyzing the photo).. something about the lizards front right foot troubled me. Was that an injury from when the lizard leapt down a level? The lizard did seem kinda old. As humans, we need to be mindful of the decisions we make, and the affect on the lives of our fellow cohabitants. Being careful for us, is not necessarily the same as being careful enough for them. I hope the lizard is doing fine. I didn't forget about those snails either.. I think they're ok. What a day! Steps met in the process.
Seeking peace,
ma3str0

(no space) to get help on Hive. InfoYou're right mate.. the colours are really dope! There's quite a few geckos which frequent these parts though, and there's something different bout this ones texture. It seems a lot more 'scalier', which may be why I'm wondering if it is an older one. I dunno.. I'm by no means an expert lmao, but I do luv seeing 'em in the great outdoors.
Geckos are amazing creatures. And very useful too actually, they eat the annoying insects in the house. In some cultures, geckos are even symbols of good luck. Thanks for treating this old little fella with care and respect.

They are indeed my new friend.. so love seeing them inside on a wall. They remind me of miniature dinosaurs haha. This special one's still on my mind. Thanks for your kindness as well - very much appreciated mate. Please take care and don't be a stranger :)
Talking about miniature dinosaurs... My very favorite reptiles are probably iguanas. I totally fell in love with these super chilled guys when I lived in Mexico :) Just look at this magnificent beast.
That is incredible - wow. He/she looks looks to be sizing you out haha. What a miracle is that! Fantastic my friend. Thanks a bunch for sharing this. Really really dope!
That´s actually him :) Males have those spines on the back, females don´t. You can see the difference in this post that I dedicated exclusively to these fascinating creatures :)
