One Year on HIVE. My Actifit Report Card: November 23 2021
I joined the HIVE blockchain exactly a year ago. What a year it was! @hivebuzz knows best:
I have earned many badges, but I realized I had breached the HIVE etiquette by not posting #introduceyourself. So if you don’t mind my being late, here it comes.
I am middle-aged (I prefer to say “in my prime”), married, I work in IT and live in Poland. My passion is mountain hiking, history, interesting places and useless trivia ;-). The book I have read the most - in fact I think it would be close to 100 times - is the book of Proverbs of Solomon from the Bible.
I’ve had some ups and downs with crypto. I had 2BTC back in 2014 and happily sold them when the price reached $1000 (that’s one thousand...).
I've settled well on HIVE, I run a TravelFeed blog, I am a (hyper)active member of @pl-travelfeed group and organize your favorite @actifit tournaments named #MAcFiT Champions League and Consolation Cup.

Season 5
Already thinking about the next season. I want stabilization, so I will keep the current format of Champions League and Consolation Cup. I need however to fine tune the qualification process. Details later, here are the highlights:
- @browery has paused his #Poliac League. I am therefore converting the #MAcFiT slot reserved for League One winner into a Wild Card. By default it will go the highest ranked player not automatically qualified by regular means. If Poliac League is back, the Wild Card may go again to its winner. Order of automatic admittance into Champions League Season 5:
- Winner of Champions League
- Winner of Consolation Cup
- Top 3 ranked players after the above two
- Wild Card holder
- Introduction of "lucky loser"
- the best player eliminated in Round 2 of Champions League qualifiers (decided by narrowest score difference) will still get into the group phase. They will be placed in group A (the group of the Defending Champion)
- Tentative schedule
- Season 4 ends with Finals on Dec 15 & 16
- First round of qualifiers will be played on Dec 17-20
- Second round of qualifiers will be played on Dec 24-27
- Season 5 will kick off on Dec 31 (Consolation Cup) and Jan 1 (Champions League)

Quick review of Champions League Groups. Interestingly, in this Season, all groups have a set hierarchy (9-6-3-0 points) after the first three games. For the first time 4 players have come out of the initial games unscratched.
In Group A the Defending Champion is on his way to the quarterfinals. But look at the scores - @ptaku is not far behind. @practicaleric occupies the last place, but his score reveals a strong potential for improving his position.
In Group B, @pagane seems to be untouchable, with daily average of +46k steps! Behind her back @flaxz and @mariya36 will battle for the second place. @grecki-bazar-ewy - nie poddawaj się, ciągle masz szansę na 3 miejsce, premiowane przesunięciem do Consolation Cup
Group C standings have been affected by three W/Os. I do hope that @venan and @milabogomila are ok and will play their next 3 matches (this coming Thu, Fri and Sat).
Last, but not least, Group seems to have a set hierarchy. Will the next three matches change it?
@practicaleric @grecki-bazar-ewy @milabogomila & @sk1920 - even though you haven't won yet, don't despair and keep up your activity. Mathematically you can still make it into the quarterfinals. And remember - this Season the 3rd place is awarded with transfer to Consolation Cup (quarterfinals stage)

and no worries about your late reports - they are late for me, relatively, but aren't late in absolute time terms. I know I don't need to ping you, you are like a clock.
Once upon the COVID era, I flew around the world eastbound (Poland -> Malaysia -> USA -> Poland). I gained an additional day - live one Saturday twice. I wonder how would @actifit behave :-)

As you know, I enjoy posting useless stats :-) Here are some:
This Season the average score difference between the winner and a loser of a match is the highest ever. This is due to 4 games which ended in W/O (if no report is published for the match day). Three of the forfeited games were on Match Day 2.
Group B is strongest in terms of total score. They cumulatively scored 325 (the second best, group A, has achieved only 255). Need to mention that Group C had 3 W/Os and Group D had one.
Apart from useless stats, I also revel in rankings. Here's the current table.
The ranking will decide the automatic admittance and qualifiers' seeding for Season 5.
The winners of Champions League and Consolation Cup will qualify automatically. So will the top 3 ranked players (green background in the table). There's a Wild Card nominally for @browery 's League One winner, but since the League is paused, the slot will go to the 4th highest ranked (deep yellow background).
The next 9 highest ranked (light yellow background) will start qualifiers in Round 2 and will be seeded there. I have also highlighted places 15 and 16, since if the winner of either tournament is a player ranked between 1 and 14, these two places will also grant seeding in the second Round of qualifiers.
18 positions after the highlighted guarantee participation in Round 1 of the Season 5 Champions League qualifiers. All players below these, will compete in Consolation Cup qualifiers.
Players with "1.0" on green background in the "Group phase - entry" column and players with "0,5" on yellow in the "group phase - M4" column", are still in play and can improve their position.

noted. you are welcome to join. The current season ends with Finals on Dec 15-16 and qualifiers to Season 5 will start the weekend after it. If there's more participants than available slots, there will be a round of pre-qualifiers, player over the weekend of Dec 11-12. Since you have no rank, you will have to start with the pre-qualifiers.
How to play? Simply make sure to post your @actifit reports on Match Days and I will take care of the rest.
