My Actifit Report Card: December 30 2023
Yesterday I couldn't post the pictures from the zoo, so today's post I want to start with some photos from the zoo, and then on to the photos from our trip the next day.
At the zoo, it was an amazing time.with the family. We rode bikes around the zoo to see the animals it felt like we were just next to the animals as they cleverly used the banks and electric fences. I liked the Rhinos and giraffes at the start.
Followed by the bongos which look amazing and then my favourite elephants so majestic.
The animals kept on coming but I won't bore you with them all. Except to say I was impressed by the variety snd how large the zoo was, it was about a 5km ride. One if my favourite parts was going up the lookout and seeing the savannah with zebras, giraffes and other African animals. 
The next day we were heading across to Broken Hill. It's an 8 hour drive. Firstnstop was Narromine for a quick breakfast at the bakery. Narromine is a small country town along the macquarie River.
After Narromine our next stop was Nygan on thr bogan river. It is famous for the big bogan. A bogan is a name for an Aussie larrikin a but like a redneck.
After Nygan was our lunch stop Cobar. This is a mining town and the earth started turning red.
Not far from Cobar was an active open cut mine.
Next was a long drive of straight roads and nothing much else except for thr occasional emu and feral goat. We finally reached Wilcannia a small village along the darling River, Australia's longest river. I must say the river was quite underwhelming as it often doesn't have much water in it. 
Last stop was Broken hill our destination finally made it to the tourist park where we were staying, they have quite a lot of facilities. Soon after we were off to the living desert park which has sculptures at a look out.
What a long day!
