Morning Run: Working at the car wash...

@steevc just finished a 7.85km run, that lasted for 47 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 582.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
No, I am not really washing cars and actually nobody is as they have moved elsewhere. This was originally a petrol station, but has not sold fuel since we have lived here. The nearest one is in Stotfold. There are quite a few active businesses in the village with several industrial areas, so a lot of people must work around here. I have to go a little further to my office, but I can work from home some days.

I did my regular loop around Fairfield. My legs were still a little heavy from the weekend runs, but it was not too bad. I could just not match my recent pace on this route. I did try a bit of a 'sprint' on the last downhill stretch where I managed to improve my PR recently, but this was only my third best there.

There were a few spots of rain, but not enough to get me wet.

I saw one of the black squirrels in the little wood up by the Fairfield chapel that is now apartments. I was listening to an interesting Radiolab podcast about how China managed to make their writing system work with computers. That was not an easy problem to solve. I cannot read Chinese at all, but a friend translates it for a living, so they would know all about this.

We have our pub jam session tomorrow. That is about the only time I play guitar these days as I focus more on drums.

Run free!

I still haven't gotten around to listening to the couple of podcasts that I downloaded. I just haven't been in the mood to dedicate to it.

I'm listening to podcasts whenever I'm running or going to work, so I get through a lot. I prefer that to music then. I listen to music when I'm working from home as I can't concentrate on spoken stuff then.

I usually watch the TV when I am doing the treadmill in the morning. I might have to change things up.

I have stuff I want to watch on TV/streaming too. I struggle to keep up with everything, but when running I can only listen to stuff and podcasts are ideal for that. I subscribe to lots and pick a selection to download.

I wonder how many days you can work from home. Is there a rule of your company? Like 3 days from office, 2 days from home.

There are some rules that I am fairly happy with. Some people prefer to go to the office and I like to see people some of the time. It is not far to go anyway.

Good title hook, hehehe, I fell for that.

Have you been playing guitar for a while? I'm just learning to play, I've only had about three lessons, and I'm also learning the recorder. Have a nice day. @steevc

I like a fun title :)

I've played guitar for many years and I know my limits with that. Drumming is a newer thing. I envy people with all the online resources these days. I had a classical guitar teacher as a kid and the rest came from books and magazines. Youtube didn't exist for most of that time. Have fun with it.

Here you rarely see petrol stations abandoned, usually someone always take over, there are like 4 in a row here

I don't know who ran this one, but the big companies run most of those that are still there. Not many independents.

The thing is I've been called a spammer and all sorts of things but words mean nothing 😂😂😂😂
