steevc just finished a 7.05km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 527.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
It has gone cold here again and we had some snow last night. I was not sure if I would be running today, but when I looked out the paths seemed to be clear. A few flakes were falling and it was just above freezing. My blue top keeps me warm. I wore my gloves, but was in shorts, as usual.

The snow was coming down harder as I headed out, but not really settling. The snow is mostly on grass and cars, so I did not have to run on it. I wore my trail shoes anyway just in case.

I just did a fairly gentle loop of Fairfield as I did not feel like doing intervals. I will be marshalling at parkrun on Saturday, so I am missing out on intensive running this week. I just needed to get out and work on my endurance.

It was fairly quiet out there apart from some dog walkers wondering who the crazy runner was. No squirrels today, just a few birds.

The cold is not too bad when I am running, but my glasses fog up. My hair was quite wet when I got home and I needed to dry off before having breakfast and then a nice warm shower. I do tend to let the initial cold water run off over me, so that is the nearest I get to a cold shower. It soon warms up.

Podcast listening was Late Night Linux, The Drum Show and The Life Scientific. I have so many shows to get through, so maybe I should be running more.

Run free, stay safe and stay well.

This time of year can always get a bit dodgy for us. Heading out to the park can leave you in a puddle of mud. The end of Feb into March has been pretty nasty. We are supposed to get some more snow tomorrow. Nice job on your run!

It's okay here, but you get some dangerous conditions. The snow is melting and I wonder if that is our last for the winter. I could find plenty of mud if I wanted it.

That's one of the things I hate about late winter and spring. It is just so sloppy most of the time. The weather is finally nice and you can't even go out into nature without feeling like you just came home from a mud wrestling match!

Nice work @steevc I have no understanding of running in snow. I see so many people posting images and have total respect. Love it !LUV

I wasn't really running in snow, but it was around. It can really vary between icy and slushy. At best it can be like slightly soft mud where trail shoes can get a nice grip, but you need to take care. It's all melting now anyway. We don't even get it every year here so it can cause chaos.

I wish I could just feel what the snow looks like someday.
I have never felt it before.

This was just cold wet stuff. I like fresh snow when it crunches under your feet. I hope you can experience that some time.

LOL. It wasn't too bad really. The pavements were clear, but I thought I'd get some snow in the photo background. I am wary when it's icy out as I just don't need injuries.

We've had warmer than usual weather so early in the year. In March we typically see a cold front swing by as winter closes out. Not this year. Or at least not yet. It's hot and humid in these parts. Hoping for one last cold snap before we truly kiss colder weather goodbye.

It's been a mixed winter here. We've had some extremes of temperature in the last year that could be worrying.

I think we could all use some relief from extreme everything. I vote for a normal boring year.
