steevc just finished a 7.54km run, that lasted for 44 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 592.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
Bank holidays tend to mess with my schedule. I was in the office on different days and then yesterday I had to go to the dentist before work. I did cycle to Stotfold for that (about 8km round trip), but did not log it on Strava.

I have been stiff this week after our active weekend, but felt better today. I also had a better sleep. It was cool out there today, but dry. I did my usual loop around Fairfield without trying to go particularly quickly.

There were lots of people out walking their dogs, including one I see often that has a pair of wheels at the back. My legs were feeling okay as I ran up the hill. I have to take advantage of what climbs I can find around here to build strength.

It was an uneventful run. There was less traffic than normal due to school holidays and the Arlesey road closure. On the way back I overtook a small child and parent who were riding up a hill on their bikes. That was just before I took the selfie, but I got away before they caught up.

It looks like I was slightly quicker than some recent runs on this route, but a way off my best. That is okay as I was not going for speed.

When I got back I was feeling some aches across my shoulders. It is not painful, but I wonder what I did to cause that. Perhaps I was tensing up a bit. I did have a couple of days off my regular press-up routine before doing some last night, so maybe my body objected to that. I want to keep it up to maintain reasonable upper body and core strength.

I am marshalling at parkrun tomorrow, but hope to run on Sunday.

Have a great weekend.

I was feeling some aches across my shoulders.

A good amount of stretching perhaps might help before and after?

I probably don't stretch as much as I should, but then I don't normally get this sort of ache. I'll take it easy for a while.

My wife and I went to the park the other day to take Jovi for a walk. It was our first 80 degree day of the year, so it was absolutely packed. Unfortunately, Jo can't hang like she used to. She started limping and I had to take her back to the car while @mrsbozz finished her walk. Nice job on your run!

That's tough. I see some old dogs in strollers these days.

We talked about that actually. I don't think I could do it though.
