steevc just finished a 7.04km run, that lasted for 41 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 528.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was a little nervous about this run due to the blisters I got from my run on Sunday. I also tried some new shoes for work that rubbed my heels a bit. I wanted to try the new Allbirds again to see if they will be viable for long runs.

The photo shows the blister I got on Sunday with a similar one on the other foot. This was after the run today. This time I tightened the laces a bit and wore different socks. My feet felt pretty much okay, so they did not seem to aggravate the blisters. I will try another long run on Sunday that will be my last before the half.

It was slightly cool out there, but nice enough for running. I just did my usual loop without trying too hard. There were lots of blackbirds around Fairfield and I saw the cock pheasant up there again.

I finished the latest episode of Cryptomaniacs and started on Late Night Linux. I like geeky podcasts. As I write this I am listening to Sheer Heart Attack by Queen. That is a great album with some real rocking songs.

Have a great day.

It has actually not been too bad since that long run. I never normally get blisters, so it was a surprise.

I seem to heal fairly well, but I think it gets slower as you age.

Ouch! That looks pretty painful! I don't think I would be able to be very functional myself. I guess I am a bit of a wuss though!

It's not so bad. It looked worse on Sunday. I've been fairly lucky with my feet generally, so this was a surprise.

Walking is not problem and running was fine. People worry too much about me. I'm not really complaining.

It's looks like a stray of piece of pale pepperoni, I know it's meat but you can manage to chuck it in the bin, or feed it to the cat.
