steevc just finished a 13.15km run, that lasted for 81 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 951.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
It is about time I got back into some longer runs. It was been a while as I just did a couple of shorter ones on holiday. It was due to rain today, so I got out in the morning before that.

I did my usual long loop around Arlesey, Fairfield and Stotfold. This is very familiar territory, but it has a nice variety to it with woods, open fields and a little along the roads. Wildlife sighting included a squirrel and a white egret. I often see the latter in Stotfold brook, but they always fly off before I can get a photo.

My legs were not feeling too bad, but my hip issue is back. It does not hamper me too much.

Podcast listening included Cryptomaniacs, Pod Save the UK and a BBC comedy show called The United Nations of News where comedians of various nationalities made light of current events. That is a neat idea to get some different perspectives.

I had to do my chores later, including cleaning out the chickens. I got all that done before the rain arrived. It is looking like a wet week with some strong winds, so I need to secure things in the garden.

The Letchworth 10k is in two weeks. I should be fine for that, but I doubt my time will improve. It will be fun anyway.

Run free and have a great week.

13 km is a good run. So your back in the UK ? What was your favourite place to visit in 'Merica ?

Hard to say what was my favourite, but I did like Boston. I am not really a city person, but it seemed nice.

Boston is awesome. Especially Little Italy and the Quincy Market at night.

but I doubt my time will improve

Doesn't matter, you're doing the distance, that's the main thing!

If the weather is good like this, then one is more inclined to walk in such a place with a natural view.

I am about to go for a run whilst it's still nice, likely not to be later in the evening and worried that our last kayak trip on the canal for awhile this Wednesday may get cancelled; weather forecast sounds delightful

I have been listening to Dr Michael Moseley on BBC Sounds today and kicked off with an episode of Smith and Sniff on Spotify before that. I'll probably listen to some more podcasts on my run.

There's so many podcasts out there. I tend to stick with a few.
