steevc just finished a 7.11km run, that lasted for 46 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 535.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I am still feeling stiff from the weekend, but I feel the need to keep up my running routine. There was a risk of rain today, but it was not looking too cold at around 13C.

I am tending to run the same route lately, but it works for me and includes some hill work. The fallen tree at Fairfield has been cut back now, so there is no need to clamber over it. On the way up it started to rain, but was not too bad and it helped to cool me down a little.

I was taking it very gently, but I hope to find a little more pace on Sunday for the 10k. I know from experience that running in a crowd makes a difference, but I need to be wary of going off too quick. Just after the start there is a long climb, so I do need to pace myself. The course does go up and down a bit, but it is fun to run on closed roads.

Podcast listening was Drumeo talking about 'forgotten' drummers and a BBC science show about the health of our rivers. They are in a bad state generally. The government needs to care more about that. We have a lovely little river near us, but even that is threatened by pollution. People swim in it, but that may have health risks.

I plan to run on Thursday, but then rest until Sunday. I am volunteering to help at parkrun on Saturday.

Enjoy your week and run free.

Way to keep up that running! I miss those days, but I walk every day instead. Sounds like things are cooling down there to!

Daily walks can be good too. I sit all day for work, so I need to get out.

Winter is coming!

When my wife and I go to the park we often take the same circuit as we walk. Sometimes I think how boring it must be, but it really never bugs me as much as I think it should. There is something familiar and comforting about it, so I can appreciate you taking the same route lately.

There are other routes I could take, but some would clash with kids going to school and the cross-country ones can be muddy. I am often concentrating more on my podcasts than the scenery anyway. I think it does me good to run up some hills and this route has the main hill around here.

Yeah, getting some elevation changes is a good thing.

I think running in a crowd is usually different
You tend to relate and even compete with other people
It is fun!

Nicely done good to see you racking up the numbers.

Even though you are taking the same route it is good you are actually planning your runs, I need to plan as at the moment I just head outside and randomly start anywhere and normally I pick the worst routes with all big hills. A little gutted it is going to start getting dark a lot earlier most of my runs will be in the dark due to my shift patterns.

Running is great exercise that helps the muscles especially when they are stiff.. i can see it has become an habit and addiction for you which is a good thing
