steevc just finished a 6.99km run, that lasted for 44 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 491.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was out at the White Horse for our jam session. Only seven of us this time, but that means more tunes to play. I did some Bowie, Prince, Eagles and ELO. @todayslight was there and I saw him again this morning as I set off on my run. For a change I did the track out to Stotfold. I worry about crowds of kids going to school, but only saw a few.

The weather was dull, but dry. Just right for me really. I took it gently as I just want to keep my body ready for Sunday. My hip was making itself known, but I think it will be okay.

Since I last went this way the basic metal gate to the fields and allotments has been replaced by some concrete humps. I guess a tractor can get over them, but a car might ground out. They mainly want to stop travellers from camping in there as has happened a few times.

It was also my first time in a while on a track that has been closed to install new drainage for the big development near us. Currently the path is just big stones that are not so good for running on.

I had my usual granola for breakfast. I added some raspberries that I picked this morning in our garden. I also had some grapes from up the road as I am looking after a friend's chickens. Their vine is very productive with lots of small, sweet black grapes. Maybe I need to plant one of those.

I will rest for a couple of days before the race, but I may cycle over there on the day. I need to pick up my number and shirt. I could do it on the day, but can get it from the local sports shop before then.

Burning of calories through exercises is very paramount to our health and consistency is the key.

Nice job on your run! I did a bit of exercising this morning too, but I might skip tomorrow. I am not sure yet. I think I pulled a muscle in my chest.

I hope it's nothing too bad. Got to take care of the body. I think I am ready for the race, but then it's not a really long one. I can do the distance and just enjoy it.

We certainly have the space and it would be nice to grow more food. I like plants that don't need too much attention. The raspberries have been great this year.

Last night was fun. First time I had played guitar in a while, but my fingers still remember some songs.

Certainly easier to take a guitar but as a drummer you would play on each song.. ;)

I can still do both. I can always drum on the back of the guitar.

This means you have to be extra careful when running because of those big stones
Have a lovely day!

Good job! These Strava posts are making me hungry to get back out on my mountain bike again. I hope to be back on it as soon as I return to the UK next month.

Have fun on your bike. I don't do as much cycling as I'd like, but running keeps me fit.
