steevc just finished a 7.15km run, that lasted for 46 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 552.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
A couple of days after running the Standalone 10k my legs are still sore. It is the hardest run I have done in a while and it takes a toll. I was in the office for the last two days, so had to do some walking, but I needed a short break from running. Yesterday the train was packed due to industrial action. I only just squeezed in.

So it was back to some running today with a gentle jog up to Fairfield. My legs were okay once I got going. It was fairly cool out there, but nice.

One the way up West Drive I found one of the speed humps had chunks ripped out of it. Those humps are redundant really as no cars can go up there, but it must have taken something substantial to do this. There may be the odd motorbike going up there, but even that would not do this sort of damage.

The rest of the run was uneventful. I saw a few other runners out including one guy who looked pretty quick.

I did a Strava post about Standalone that has not made it to Hive (yet?) as there was an issue with images. The organisers provide loads of photos that their team take for free. In some races you have to pay for them. I found myself in a few. This is just before the final corner to get back into the farm. I was done in by then.

I took the day off today. My chest and arm were hurting again from my workout Monday and Tuesday. I didn't really get to sleep in though, the morning has been one disaster after another.

I'm finding I take a while to recover, but back in my early days of running it could be worse. You have to get the balance right.

I hope the sleep improves. I have had the odd rough night and that is sometimes down to beer. Maybe I should stick with whisky :)

LOL! Well your dedication to performing impresses me. I'm used to having aching legs and it's not so bad really.

My last activity of the actual race may have got lost as the Strava dapp had issues. Never mind.

Honestly, I have never seen you write about the hardest run you have ever experienced
Sorry about that
Take care

Glad you enjoyed the race, and you don't look too bad in that photo btw (I usually look awful in any/all of the pictures I get back!)...

I did a Strava post about Standalone that has not made it to Hive (yet?)

I was looking out for a post about the race, and surprised when I didn't see one. I think I know why though. You did an exercise activity (ie the run), and then you did a second activity (the ride home). The @strava2hive app works by checking posts with text in the description, but I think it checked your 2nd activity about the ride, found nothing in the description, and so didn't check any further back in time.

I've had it before where I went for a run, then recorded a walk. I wrote about the run but nothing appeared on Hive. I guessed the walk was 'blocking it' so I deleted the walk activity, and 30 minutes later @strava2hive promptly posted the run actvity as normal.

I doubt your run would get posted now by the app now you've recorded another run, so I'd copy and paste that 'race report' into peakd (or a front end of your choosing) and post it as a normal post

!PIZZA (Beer would be more apt, but I no longer have enough tokens for that!)

That may be why the post didn't come through, but it's no big deal really.

I found myself in a few photos and some were not great. I need to smile when I see the camera :)
