Self Defense Situation - What Do You Do? - Part 20
Welcome back to Self Defense Situation - What Do You Do? - Part 20. In this series of posts, we talk about different situations, and you can do to defend yourself and get back home safe. When one guy comes to attack you, he might not be alone.
Even if two or three attackers are attacking you, there is a high possibility that there are some other attackers out there watching everything. If anything goes wrong, they give the signal or come to take care of the situation.
When you fight multiple opponents, it is totally different from fighting with a single opponent. In case there is only one attacker, you can easily keep an eye on him and see how he is going to attack you. So what happens if there are multiple opponents? Let's talk about the specific situation from the above video.
From 0: 17 to 2: 04 Minutes
When you try to defend yourself and fight with multiple attackers, you often find yourself in the middle, and the attackers are around you. You step forward to attack one guy or defend another attacker's strike, but from the other side, another attacker hits you.
What you see in this video, you might face similar situations dealing with multiple attackers. The girl tries to escape and fight, but everyone is attacking her, and she is in the middle. It is difficult to fight multiple attackers like this.
In this situation, you can follow a couple of things. First of all, try to position yourself so that you are not in the middle. If you see, you are in the middle, attack someone and move in the other way. And make all the attackers be in front of him. In real-life situations, it is not practical to keep them in a straight line. But if they are in front of you, you can see their movement.
Don't focus on a single attacker while fighting. While you are fighting with an attacker, other attackers can attack you from behind. So be aware of that, and do not pay your full attention to a single attacker.
When you fight, use your surroundings in your favor. You can move and stand in a place where the attackers fight it difficult to attack you all at the same time. They have to come one by one to attack you. If you can do that, that's better.
You can defend an attacker's strike, grab and lock his hand. You can use him as a shield to protect yourself. So other attackers find it difficult to attack you.
Every situation is different. So try to understand the situation and make your move based on that. Thank you so much for reading this so far. If you are passionate about martial arts, please let me know. I'd love to follow you.
