Straight Punch Defense, Grab and Trap

In a fight one of the most common attacks is punch. So how you defend yourself against punch and what you do after that, it depends on which martial art you are training. If someone throws a punch, you can do outside parry to defend that or you can do palm slap parry. And you can counter-attack.

In this video, you see how to grab the opponent neck after defending straight punches. As soon as the opponent punches, you do palm slap parry and grab his neck under the arm.

There is something that you should pay attention here. When you use this technique, you have to close the gap. If you just grab him without closing the gap, he can get rid of that easily. When you move forward, close the gap, and grab him tight, it would be difficult for him to do anything to get rid of it.

Now you are in control. You can attack him more or throw him on the ground. Whatever you do, you have to do it fast. If there are guys there, meaning, in case of dealing with a group fight, you can grab him, that's a trap and you can use him as a shield so that it makes some barrier for other attackers to attack you.

You can do different things in this situation. You can do outside parry and move to the side, then kick. You can kick to his thigh. Or, you can kick to his knee. If you want to do punch as a counter-attack, you can also do that.

How you react and what you do, that's up to you. Maybe you do not want to get in a fight. You can just defend his punches, push him and move from there in another way. In every movement for defending punches, your footwork is important. If you just stand there and do block, you might get hit. So, block the opponent's punches and move fast.

Please if You Could Explain a Better. if You Get Him Closer and its Easy for You to Get Him Ground or Punch Most Then This will Not be Same for the Next or i Can't Get This... Thanks Please.

When you get close to your opponent, you can attack him and he can do the same. So what if you move forward and your opponent attacks you?

Here your footwork and how you get in, that's important. For example, if you are little to the side when you get in, your opponent cannot do much. You are in a good position to strike. You can get in fast to attack and get out of that range pretty fast if you are good at footwork.

To make your opponent fall on the ground, you can sweep his leg or you can use hand to push and your body position to make this work for you.

Let's see what I said in this post and try to understand it in context.

When you get in to grab your opponent like this. you should close the gap. See how close he is when he grabs his neck. If there is a gap, your opponent can strike you and decorate your face. That's bad news. Here your speed matters, meaning, how fast you can execute that. As soon as you grab his neck like this, you can throw me on the ground as well.
