10Km Run Fast, It Hurts

(Edited)

I just finished a 10.063km running that lasted about 0hh:43mm:27ss !

I've been needing to do a 10km time trial and now with Ironman NZ at least postponed for a week or so, I thought tonight was a good time to do it.

I've been holding back a little bit in training and not really pushing the distance of my tempo runs, only completing about 6km or 7km at a time. It really was telling on my 10km run today as I struggled from about 2km in. I also went out a little faster than I should have.

Doesn't matter though, I am going to work hard on improving this over the coming weeks and hopefully can make some quick gains.

Stay Strong Everyone!

*When someone tells you that what you want to do is impossible, change the word in your head to hard. What you want to do is hard. Hard is doable – it just requires dedicated work and effort and you can make it happen.

Are you in lockdown now? I heard NZ had some cases. There is talk of parkrun here in a few months, but it will depend on how things go. I would have been happy to have more restrictions early on to reduce the deaths. The UK has not done well under COVID.
