Statement Regarding Soft Fork 0.22.2

As a major dapp on the Steem blockchain, and a top witness and block producer, we have come together alongside top witnesses, dapp founders, and prominent members of the Steem community to work together on ensuring a successfully bright future for the Steem blockchain following the recent acquisition of Steemit inc and its relevant stake.

We have agreed that part of maintaining the successful and continuous operation of blockchain, is to ensure that the STEEM stake that was ninja mined by Steemit inc team, continues to be used through the initial promise as stated by Ned, without unilaterally affecting the blockchain's witnesses currently maintaining the blockchain by performing a voting action that could cause harmful forks, and that it will be used to help the ecosystem grow as has been promised as well.

This promise we believe has been long left without proper binding action, though this could have been encoded to the blockchain long ago.

With the acquisition event taking place, we found this to be a great opportunity to move ahead and proceed with this change, the intent of which is to guarantee original stake does not get used improperly, and minimize the potential of an action that could jeopardize the Steem blockchain.

Hence we went ahead with the soft fork 0.22.2 alongside most of the top witnesses.

We have been looking very positively at the new acquisition, and have all faith that our move is be taken positively as an intent to secure our existing blockchain, showing the high level of commitment we have to our blockchain and to its bright future, and also a path that could open greater lengths of cooperation to grow the whole ecosystem.

Following this announcement, we have seen an official post by the new acquiring party, namely Tron/Justin Sun here, which as we expected is opening positive communication doors to the Steem community, with an invitation to a meeting altogether with top witnesses, which was one of our earliest requests.

We definitely plan to attend this meeting. We are at a step where we want to make great partnerships, leverage the great lengths the partnership can bring via growth, marketing ,.... and help the whole ecosystem grow, and this is where it all starts!

Communities & Report Rewards

Recently with the new introduction of the actifit community, we have received several reports of users who were not receiving rewards for their daily activity.
Upon troubleshooting the issue, we found that the actifit tag is being added at times beyond the 5th tag, and Steem APIs do not properly pick up tags beyond 5, which was causing those reports not to get picked u by our rewards script.

We have already implemented a change to our post creation script, that ensures actifit tag is among the first 5. If you faced a similar issue, please try to edit your report and adjust the placement of he actifit tag to fit within first 5 tags.
If your report does not get picked up by the current reward cycle, please chat to us on discord in help channel, and we will look into manually rewarding missed reports.

Please also make sure that when you edit a report, you do not misplace the actifit tag beyond the 5th tag to ensure your post gets picked up.

Get In Shape Challenge: Week 4 Starts!

So yes, without losing the focus on our fantastic event taking place right now with the Appics team, here we start another week, the 4th week of our Get in shape challenge.

The challenge is about aiming for a healthier you: whether you would like to lose weight, bulk up, or maintain a healthy lifestyle, the "Get in shape challenge" is the thing for you!

Tons of AFIT & APX tokens to win by taking part, the earlier you join, the more you can earn!

Here is a short recap of the rules and rewards:

• The more activity and progress reports you post, and the further you progress, the higher your rewards!
• As always, every actifit post with at least 5,000 activity earns STEEM, AFIT, and SPORTS tokens from upvotes.
• Using the #getinshapechallenge hashtag will enable you to extra upvotes from the @actifit.appics account, which will distribute rewards in APPICS tokens (APX).
• Progress report videos posted on the APPICS App will earn STEEM and APX tokens from upvotes of the APPICS account, at the rate of one per week.
• In addition, special APX rewards will be distributed:
  -- A total of 3 Appics progress reports & 12 Actifit activity reports (with hashtag #getinshapechallenge) will earn you an extra 50 APX + 500 AFIT tokens.
  -- A total of 5 Appics progress reports & 20 Actifit activity reports (with hashtag #getinshapechallenge) will earn you an extra 100 APX + 1,000 AFIT tokens.
  -- A total of 6 Appics progress reports & 24 Actifit activity reports (with hashtag #getinshapechallenge) with proven progress will earn you an extra 200 APX + 2,000 AFIT tokens.
• Grand prize: 5 Top participants with the most recorded progress and actual progress (chosen by the actifit & appics teams) will also earn the grand prize of 1,000 APX + 10,000 AFIT tokens each!

Gadgets, AFIT Token Stats & STEEM Payouts

In total, 15,540 gadgets were bought to date, resulting in 660,940 AFIT tokens burnt. We have additionally refilled depleted gadgets, as always.

The burnt tokens go in addition to our daily AFIT burn worth of 10 STEEM per each reward cycle, which has been burning around 3,000 to 5,000 AFIT / day.

We recently introduced our newest gadgets, the "Appics Companion" ones, allowing you to earn APX rewards via our @actifit.appics account. Make sure to check the out on the market

During last week, our actifitters and delegators piled up more tokens. To date, Actifit has more than 65+ Million AFIT tokens in circulation on actifit.io wallets, with 56K+ token holders and 207K+ reported activity.

We also sent out today our weekly STEEM delegators share, which went out to 553 active delegators, with a total amount of 99.331 STEEM & 17.055 SBD (Yes SBD rewards are back due to price growth).

P.S.: STEEM amount includes both SP and STEEM rewards for delegators, whereby each delegator receives liquid STEEM as a total for both amounts.

A kind reminder to all actifitters: some versions of esteem app still cause issues when used to edit your reports, via removing essential info Actifit uses to identify proper reports. This prevents related reports from receiving rewards.
Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others.

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in User Rank.

Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.

Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.
