After a busy stressful week at work, it is nice to get away from things.

Friday night is when I usually volunteer in my youth group as an adult leader. This week we have a number camping out for the weekend.

It was dark when we arrived so I had to pitch my tent by torch light. Its not to difficult, these particular tents are really well designed and quite easy to pitch.

The weather was still quite cold outside. It was about 4-5C overnight so I had to wrap up warm. They say there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. That is similar with tents and sleeping bags.

Whenever I am out camping I naturally get my steps in. So no specific exercise today but still a healthy step count.

I love being close to nature. Makes you feel #alive

Yeah, we are lucky here that we have loads of places for camping. Although a bit cold for most at this time of year.

Fantastic to see you going on a camping trip @awah, and yes the right sleeping bag for the weather is essential, I usually sleep in a hamock when I go on camping though, thanks for sharing and stay safe, awesome and alive.

It was really good to get away from everything after such a busy week at work. Sometimes we need to do something completely different to de-stress a little. And being close to nature is such a blessing.

I live in the city so that glow of lights makes it difficult to appreciate the night sky. Where as when I am out camping, you see all the stars. Simply amazing!

It is a great experience although I know that it isn't something that everyone enjoys. It is worth trying out though - brings you close to nature which is amazing.

There were 24 young people and a few other adults helping. Not all of the camped outside in tents due to the cold weather. The younger ones stayed in a hut where it was a bit warmer for them.

I remember camping in January when I was in the Boy Scouts. It was crazy then, it's crazy now... but there is also great reward. A time to get away from the great indoors, especially during a time when most people are indoors almost 100% of the time.

Enjoy that fresh crisp cold air. Breath in deep and enjoy the great OUTDOORS!

I know, it is a bit crazy. I have good kit though and know how to keep warm. The air is so fresh and it's lovely to be close to nature. It makes you feel so !ALIVE

Glad to hear that you are Alive and well with the plans of getting away and relaxing after a busy week. Camping out in nature is very nice to do, it has a calming effect. Hopefully the youth that you were assisting as the adult leader let you get a little relaxing in over that period. Take care.
