Means "Rest" day, at least from sports because I'm reality it means "doing everything else what I don't have time for during the rest is the week" lol
Among those testing again the new router I've bought and the connection to the internet. Unfortunately no success and the same problem as what it so started with a few months ago: drops and difficult to no loading from the moment I connect a second device :-(
Still I see a download speed of 200-300 MB's and I changed to automatically switching between 2,4 and 5 Gh, so I don't understand why it's so lame. I'll try to change the band on Saturday and if this doesn't help I've got no solutions any more...

I wonder what you would do with your old Internet router (or that new router just in case you decide to still continue to use the old one) when you finally switch to a new Internet service provider (or another plan from your current ISP) !INDEED. 🤔🤯 !HOPE
Anyway, it's hard to understand your
doing everything else what I don't have time for during the rest is the weektext on your post caption, especially on therest is the weekpart. 🤯🤓😅 !WEIRD !PIZZA"the rest OF the week"
I had to return ny old router to the service provider.
That's the reason why I had to buy a new one before I could start testing in the first place...
!STRIDE !wine
Thanks for pointing out your own typo !INDEED! 🤗😆😅 !HOPE
Looks like your Internet Service Provider requires every subscriber to swap the old router with a new one whenever the subscriber wants to change service plans from the same ISP. 🤯🤓 !WEIRD !PIZZA
Switching the router wouldn't be the problem. I started to think that they want to turn the "cheap plans forever" into more expensive plans whenever they see the chance !INDEED !WEIRD !wine
As long as a subscriber has an existing plan with the ISP, I think that the provider cannot simply just change the price of the plan. 🤔🧘♂️ However, the provider can make the existing plan less worth the price over time (similar to "shrinkflation") !INDEED, and pressure the subscriber into switching to a more expensive plan for the same quality of service. 💸🤯🤓 !WEIRD !HOPE !PIZZA
They cannot just finish my contract for sure, and still that is what they have done! !STRIDE !WEIRD !wine
Do you mean that while your current ISP did not "finish" your contract with them, they do pressure you into switching to a more expensive plan !INDEED? 🤔🤯🤓 !WEIRD !HOPE !PIZZA
At least they tried to. Because this "more expensive plan" wouldn't work either.
In the end I'm now online on a mobile router with an extra telephone line. And !INDEED at the end this is going to cost me at least as much as the glassfiber I've contracted before... !wine !WEIRD
!HOPE that even if your current "Internet service plan" is more expensive than your plan in your current ISP, there still are advantages such as greater reliability. 🤔🧘♂️🤗 !LOLZ
Since it's working fine now (again) I really believe that it ahs been a trick from the ISP to throw me out of the contract!
!WEIRD !INDEED !wine
Let's just !HOPE though that your ISP's service continues to work fine long enough !INDEED! 🤗😏 !WEIRD !PIZZA
Yeah but it reminds me how we're just slave of the system and that even such a companies doe with us what they want. Long live decentralization !HOPE !wine !PIZZA
Let's ask @tydynrain about what he thinks about the term "decentralized Internet service provider" !INDEED! 🤯🤓 !WEIRD !HOPE !STRIDE
That's basically what Qortal is working to build, especially with the integration of Reticulum/mesh technology. Centralized anything, including internet service providers, are all going bye bye. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
!SLOTH
The #Reticulum technology is interesting !INDEED. 😎 @crrdlx has published some posts and comments about that here on Hive within the past 8 months. 🤓 I have read posts online about that encrypted by design network stack being usable on common hardware, but still needs widespread adoption. 🧘♂️🤓

Reticulum seems great for sure. The problem I see at the moment is that it is all still very hardware nerdy. The users seem to spend most of their time explaining and talking about their rigs. It involves software, special hardware, soldering, etc which weeds out almost everyone. It'll take time, in my view.
Given #Reticulum's technical requirements, even someone who would like to try it out can't simply purchase a "ready-to-use Reticulum kit" or something (online) and use it (at home). 🧘♂️🤯🤓 !WEIRD !LOLZ
There are some ready to use meshtastic devices, I think. They look a lot like an old blackberry. Still, I wonder.

I saw quite a lot of negative reviews on that product page of that suppsedly "ready-to-use" device for #Reticulum, citing problems with some parts not working properly !INDEED. 🤯🤓 !WEIRD !HOPE !PIZZA
It sure is, and that's interesting to know, especially since most people aren't aware of it yet. Yes, it allows communication and networking across a wide array of frameworks, including long-range radio, among many others. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

!INDEED
!WINE
Would that exist? !WEIRD !HOPE !wine
The technology already exists according to @tydynrain on his comment, though what it needs is wider adoption !INDEED. 🤓 !HOPE !WEIRD !PIZZA
Reticulum isn't integrated yet, though that is in process. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
!SLOTH
I thought on your other comment that #Reticulum is already integrated on #Qortal. 🤯 It would have been better if you replaced "integration" with "plan to integrate" !INDEED to avoid confusion. 😅
!WEIRD
!HOPE
!WINEX
Sorry for the confusion. The integration is in process, and undergoing ongoing testing, so it's far more along than just planned. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

That means in short, the #Qortal platform has already started implementing #Reticulum, but it is still in testing phases (which some may call as "alpha" or "pre-alpha") stage. 🤓

Correct, though Qortal has no clear delineations for alphas or betas. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Do you mean that in #Qortal, people generally classify a project either as in testing stage or production release, and no further classification between/beyond them? 🤯🤓

Yep, that's basically correct. I always run the test core versions. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I would say that it is indeed a good idea to save the testing for alpha versions for testers who have more free time and encouragement. 🧘♂️🤓
!ALIVE
And in Qortal's case, for people who have a little more technical understanding as well. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Before it's bye bye centralized ISP's, it's going to take some time I believe !LOL !wine
I think that centralized ISPs in this case would not disappear, but rather remain as a (non-mainstream) alternative for people who prefer not to choose decentralized ones for any reason. 🧘♂️😅
Haha the opposite world as it it now... interesting... !HOPE !INDEED !BBH
That's why quite many people already want to push decentralization for most things !INDEED. 🧘♂️😎 !HOPE !WEIRD !PIZZA
