Boxing is very popular. You will hardly find any person who has not heard of boxing before. Boxing is a martial art. There are many martial arts in this world and people practice it.

Have you ever heard of Tai Chi?

If you talk about Tai Chi, most people don't know about it as much as they know about boxing.

Maybe you see some movements in Tai Chi. You usually see old people practice it. Every movement of Tai Chi is slow. Now you are wondering how this is going to use against boxing.

You can use the same movement in Tai Chi and make it fast while defending and attacking. Your body position, hands and legs movement - everything can be used as self defense.

In Tai Chi, you are moving a lot. If you are some places that are narrow and do not have enough space, you might find it little difficult to use your movement.

There are different moment and situation in life. For self defense, you have to apply different techniques based on the moment and situation. Sometimes it might happen that you are attacked, but you do not want to hurt attackers pretty bad. Different movement in Tai Chi can help you dealing with different situations in life.

If you know a boxer's movement and how he/she attacks, it gets easier to fight against boxing using Tai Chi. So is it effective?

It depends on your skills and how you make it work for you. Every movement and technique is designed to deal with a certain situation. How you use each technique and put into action can make the difference.

I was always a supporter of boxing.Though I didn't try it for mine.But I saw it from very close.More than 2/3 friends of mine are boxers.
Even you may don't know that Rajshahi serve the major number of boxers for bangladeah.
