dannewton just finished a 10.13km run, that lasted for 72 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 787.0 calories.

Description from Strava: A quick post today. The run this weekend should have been a long one, but for various reasons, I'm only doing 10km today. Part of this is due to trying for a slightly easier traing week, as I've worked hard over the past 4 or 5 weeks as part of getting into running after the injury.

It is also due to it being a bank holiday weekend, and my partner and I have been out exploring and photographing stuff (which you will see in a post soon). And finally I am going to be walking into town shortly as part of the PoGo Gofest event taking place today, and that will mean a reasonable amount of walking.

As far as the run went, it was another slow heart rate based plod. I chose a different route today, as I'm bored of the bypass lol! The road down to Harmston is also very flat, so no hills to send my heart rate over the limit is a plus!

Some potential good news here is that I was able to maintain an average pace of 7:05 per km, which is an improvement over the 7:30 per km pace of the last few weeks, and shows that the heart rate training is having a positive effect?

I know it's only early days though!

Anyway, enough waffling. I'm gonna grab a shower and then I'll be heading into town.

I'll post an update here later on 🙂

Update

So it turned out to be a very long walk into town today:

I didn't walk overly quickly as I was playing PokemonGO at the same time, but I was on my feet for over 4hours. It was a long and very enjoyable day, and I'm definitely feeling tired now!

Now it is time for a relatively early night as we are going out for another walk tomorrow.... making the most of this time off!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

@stav and @normie.fitness 🤣

yeah I suppose 10km is still a decent distance, but its all relative I guess! Back at the start of this year I was regularly running 20-26km as a long run each weekend, 10km at that point was my shortest, easiest run

wow, I have run a half marathon a couple of times in my life and I would be lying if I said that I jogged the entire thing :)

Running in this kind of environment looks very cool
You will even be motivated to run with the way the environment looks like...hahaha
I hope you enjoyed the run.
