Remutaka Forest Park, I miss it. Must book a 2 night stay before the end of Summer.
This was one of those rides expecting to only do a normal suburban loop but decided to go a little bit further. The Remutaka Forest Park is huge, this camp grounds is at the start of the trail head (this one has showers and toilet facilities) and is a normal destination for colleges/highschools at the start or the end of the year. As expected it was populated. I camp here out of season with less people, but my real passion is to hike further into the forest and set up my Tarp shelter for an overnight stay.

I will always appreciate what we have here in New Zealand and how easy accessible we to our Forests. This is only 16km from my home, only reason the time shows nearly 2 hours (return), was I started on my normal loop.

A marathon ride! 42km! nice one
Felt pretty good really but long enough, tomorrow will keep it small. Recovery time is just as important (I read that somewhere).
