My today’s update is entirely about Season 5 of MAcFiT Champions League and Consolation Cup qualifiers.

• green background (pos. 1-3): automatic admittance into Season 5
• yellow background, orange font (pos. 4): Wild Card for Season 5
• light yellow background (pos. 5-16): start qualifiers in Round 2, seeded there
• deep yellow background, white font (pos. 17-26): start qualifiers in Round 1, seeded there
• white background (pos. 27 and below): need to start in pre-qualifiers

Round 2 of qualifiers to Champions League

Setup:

• 9 pairs
  -- 9 winners advance to group phase
  -- 1 additional slot for "lucky loser"
  -- 8 remaining losers are transferred to Consolation Cup, Round of 16

9 top ranked, after those automatically admitted, will start qualifications from Round 2 and will be seeded there. They will be ordered according to their rank after Season 4 completion. Since 6 players are admitted automatically, the seeding numbers will be from 7) thru 15)

Players numbered #14 and #15 cannot change their rank, so their seeding positions are already known.

The seeding and transfer to Consolation Cup mean that all the above mentioned players are guaranteed to play in either of the two tournaments in Season 5

There will be no draw - Round 2 pairs will be setup according to "serpentine rule" based on rank position (seed number):

• 8 pairs
  -- 8 winners advance to Round 2 of Champions League
  -- 8 losers transferred to Round 2 of Consolation Cup

8 losers from Round 1 of Champions League qualifiers will be matched versus 8 winners from Round 1 of Consolation Cup qualifiers, with seeds carried over from the respective rounds and keeping the "serpentine" rule demonstrated above

Round 1 of qualifiers for Consolation Cup

8 pairs, formed by players from PRE-qualifiers:

PRE-qualifiers

The following players (and anyone who joins by this coming Thursday, 22:00 CET) will play in pre-qualifiers. No pairs will be formed. All will compete simultaneously. I will track their results from 4 days (Friday, Dec 10 thru Monday, Dec 13), reject their worst day and create a table in descending order of [score, steps]. 8 best (PQ1 thru PQ8) will join Round 1 of Champions League qualifiers; next 16 will play in Round 1 of Consolation Cup qualifiers (PQ9 thru PQ24). The rest - if any - will have to try their luck next season.
