@steevc just finished a 5.05km run, that lasted for 32 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 384.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
Today was the day where I actually get to be a pace runner at Henlow Bridge Lakes parkrun. I did a rehearsal last week, but this time I got to don the special vest with 32 on the back. We had a full set of pacers from 20 to 40 minutes (2 minute intervals).

I used the app on my Garmin watch again, but it is tricky to stay in the right zone. I had a few people sticking with me, but some went on ahead. At one point people in front and behind me fell over, but they seemed to be okay and I had to keep going. It was quite warm out there so I was happy to be taking it fairly easy.

I finished a couple of seconds ahead according to my watch, but the official time was quicker than that. I was amazed that we had 271 finishers, which is a record for this event. When we went for coffee I was helping to sort the finish tokens, so I could see the numbers. I have volunteered 54 times now.

I was hoping to get some pictures of the pacers, but they are not online yet. The guy who did 20 minutes did well. They had to put out a call to a local club to get more people for it. Then they had to ask another event for the 20 vest as they only had down to 22. I would hope we can do this a few times each year as it can help people improve their times. On other days you can just try to keep up with someone you know is a little quicker.

It has really warmed up today and could hit 32C in the next few days.I shall be using the pool to cool off.

Run free and stay cool.

Seems you are dedicated not just to your own training, but also to helping other runners by pacing and volunteering :)

pacer week is my favorite parkrun event, both volunteering to pacing for other and trying to keep up with others. You did well being just a few seconds under, where you using an average pace screen on your garmin or just current pace? I find the average pace screen a lot easier

I found a pacer screen for the Garmin to give me an idea if I'm on target. I've got my own targets to aim for and it would help to follow a pacer.

I try to avoid the warmer times of day and I drink plenty. Just have to be careful and I do enjoy it.
