steevc just finished a 5.44km run, that lasted for 35 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 393.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
The weather continues to be erratic. We had heavy rain again yesterday, but this morning was fine. I saw the physio on Tuesday and he thinks he can sign me off next time. It seems this gluteal tendon just takes a while to recover. It was feeling it as I went out today, so I just took it gently up to West Drive.

I did my five hill sprints, but was a little slower than I would like. At least I have been out three times this week, so I am getting back to previous training levels. I plan to do parkrun on Saturday.

Not many runners to be seen, but lots of other people. A few were cycling up or down the drive plus one kid on a scooter. The guy at the chip shop is always out in the morning, so I wave to him. I think the other chip shop is having some work done. It may just be cleaning their equipment.

I have regained the 'local legend' status on Strava for the uphill sprint. It was held by a guy I know from the open mic session. I also got the downhill one, but then I doubt anyone else does five of those in one session.

I have been watching progress with the new Turkish barber. The chairs were delivered this week and are now installed. They have gold basic and a marble floor. I have seen banners like this on other such establishments. I am not sure if it is a franchise who may want to keep a certain style. I do need a haircut, but I will go to my regular cockney barber.

Podcast listening was mostly Richard Herring doing another interview. We may go see his live show again some time.

Another part of my workout regime is to do some press-ups or chin-ups a couple of times each day. I have been trying some pull-ups too where you have your palms facing away. Those are harder, but I am managing a couple at a time now. I just want to build some upper body strength as my legs get plenty of work.

Run free!

Those chin ups are hard. I build up to 4 in a row before I went on holiday, now am back to 2 !LOL. I keep doing singles and try to get to 10. I have not tried the palms facing away variation yet

On a good day I can do 10 chins, but pull-ups are something I need to work more on. We have a bar at home, so I use it every time I pass.
