Summer has arrived, and with it, the new, 23rd season of the POLIAC international virtual tournament has begun. At the start, two players were missing. From what I can see, @benbow2017 has been inactive for almost two months, and @ptaku published his last post nearly two weeks ago. I am hoping that these two former POLIAC champions will still compete with us. As is tradition, we will wait for them for a maximum of five rounds, after which they will be disqualified. The first round has shown that this year's season promises to be extremely exciting, and the favorites did not disappoint. The upcoming matches will provide answers about the players' form and their aspirations for this season!

[POL] Nadeszło lato, a wraz z nim rozpoczął się nowy, 23. sezon międzynarodowego wirtualnego turnieju POLIAC. Na jego starcie nie pojawiło się dwóch graczy. Z tego, co widzę, @benbow2017 jest nieaktywny od prawie dwóch miesięcy, a @ptaku opublikował ostatni post niemal dwa tygodnie temu. Liczę na to, że tych dwóch byłych mistrzów POLIAC jeszcze z nami powalczy. Zgodnie z tradycją czekamy na nich maksymalnie do piątej kolejki, po której zostaną zdyskwalifikowani. Pierwsza kolejka pokazała, że tegoroczny sezon zapowiada się niezwykle emocjonująco, a faworyci nie zawiedli. Kolejne mecze przyniosą odpowiedzi na pytania o formę graczy oraz ich aspiracje na ten sezon!

The defending champion, @bucipuci, dominated his rival in the first match. @silvertop achieved a good result, but it wasn't enough to beat the champion. @merthin and @browery demonstrated a high level of play at the start of the competition. Sparks flew in their duel, but ultimately @browery proved to be better, also achieving the best result of this round. The runner-up from last season, @mauvert, achieved a slightly lower score. The Frenchman defeated @patif2025, who was making her debut in the GL. @mushanov had a successful return to the elite, defeating @cezary-io. A very close match was fought between @itz.inno and @fredkese – the Japanese player turned out to be better this time by 318 steps. Meanwhile, @new.things and @actifit-godfish received points for free as their opponents forfeited their matches.

[POL] Obrońca tytułu, @bucipuci, zdominował rywala w pierwszym meczu. @silvertop uzyskał dobry wynik, ale to było za mało na mistrza. Wysoki poziom na starcie rozgrywek zaprezentowali @merthin i @browery. W ich pojedynku iskrzyło, ale finalnie @browery okazał się lepszy, przy okazji osiągając najlepszy wynik w tej rundzie. Nieznacznie gorszy rezultat uzyskał wicemistrz ostatniego sezonu, @mauvert. Francuz pokonał debiutującą w GL @patif2025. Udany powrót do elity zaliczył @mushanov, który wygrał z @cezary-io. Bardzo wyrównany pojedynek stoczyli @itz.inno i @fredkese – Japończyk okazał się tym razem lepszy o 318 kroków. Z kolei @new.things i @actifit-godfish dostali punkty za darmo, gdyż ich rywale poddali mecze.

Four new players have appeared in the Silver League, and three of them have already scored their first points. @revlat35 achieved the best result in the SL. Traditionally, after the first round, it is difficult to identify the favorites to fight for promotion. I'm betting that one of the debutants could turn out to be the dark horse of this season. Due to the uncertain participation of two players who are currently in the GL but have not been publishing reports for some time, I do not rule out small shifts from the SL to the GL. I am thinking of a quick return to the GL for @homesteadlt and the promotion of @pjansen, who was third last season. However, these changes will not happen before the fifth round.

[POL] W Silver League pojawiło się czworo nowych graczy, a troje z nich już zanotowało pierwsze punkty na swoich kontach. @revlat35 osiągnął najlepszy wynik w SL. Tradycyjnie po pierwszej rundzie trudno jest wskazać faworytów do walki o awans. Obstawiam, że któryś z debiutantów może okazać się czarnym koniem tego sezonu. Z racji tego, że niepewny jest udział dwóch graczy, którzy aktualnie są w GL, ale od jakiegoś czasu nie publikują raportów, nie wykluczam małych przesunięć z SL do GL. Mam na myśli szybki powrót @homesteadlt do GL i awans @pjansen, który był trzeci w ostatnim sezonie. Do tych roszad dojdzie jednak nie wcześniej niż po piątej rundzie.
