December 14 2021 - A trip to Portugal šŸ‡µšŸ‡¹

The government say work from home but hey, I already had my trip to Portugal booked so going to work from our Porto office for the rest of the week. The weather is nicer and far less covid cases.

I took a Ryanair flight, they must be the worst! But it was convenient for me.

In the evening in Porto, I went for a walk looking for a jogging route for the morning.

I'm not used to these hills so think my running pace will be slower than normal.

It was nice down by the river though.

Going down hill means I need to go back up hill to the hotel!

After my walk I went for a nice dinner. Probably put back all the calories so really need to run in the morning.

I flew from Stanstead which is my side of London. I hate Ryanair though, I should have probably made the effort to go to your airport, Gatwick and take Easyjet. That is where the other guys I was travelling with went from.

The food is great here and so good to be out and about. Although things getting difficult back at home with Covid cases going crazy. Oh well - YOLO

It is not easy travelling in these times but I had people I needed to visit and they really appreciated my effort to come here. The weather is nice and the food is great. So a good trip. The morning run was also good, will post about it tomorrow.

Hopefully, life starts returning to normal although my country UK is going the other way with over 90,000 cases today! Life has to go on though.

The airline was ok, they just take cuts on everything they can to save money. They couldn't make it more basic if they tried. But the main thing is, its good to be here.

I see the hills as a challenge, it is going to be fun!

I hope you enjoy your trip to Porto, I love this city and indeed it is quite sporty, walking on the slopes is tiring. Remember to visit Vila Nova de Gaia and the port wine cellars, and definitely try the LBV port.
