Season 16: Group Stage Announcement

Hello @Actifit 'ters,

Pleased to announce @MAcFiT Season 16! It commences on this coming Thursday (April 11) with Match Day 1 of the Group Stage. Please find the essentials below.

Season 16 Group Stage

The fixtures are set in such a way that the top 2 seeded players meet on the last Match Day.

Four best players advance to the play-offs. There, in Round 1 Group A will be paired with group B (A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3 etc) and group C with group D (C1 vs D4, C2 vs D3 etc).

Format

Group stage with 4 groups, 6 players each. Single round robin

Four best players advance to the play-offs

Round 1: 4 best players from each group; paired A1 vs B4, A2 vs B3 (...) D1 vs C4
-- Two matches in each pair, with the 1st being the Average Scores from Group Stage
Round 2: Winners of Round 1, paired in such a way that group winners can meet only in the Final Four

Scoring

Scoring is based on step counts as per @actifit report cards published by the participants on Match Days. The score formula is:

S = [Sc / 1000]

Sc - Step count
In plain English: The score is the step count divided by 1000 and rounded to the nearest integer (0.5 rounds up to 1)

Group Stage:
3 points are awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw.

Play-offs:
The total score over two matches decides the winner. If scores are equal, then steps are compared. If no winner can be decided that way, the player who was better in the Group Stage (place, points, total score, total steps) advances.

Final Four
The sum of scores over the final match days decides the order. If scores are equal, then steps are compared. If no winner can be decided that way, the player who was better in the Group Stage (place, points, total score, total steps) is placed higher.

Disqualifications

Group Stage
Players who fail to publish at least 3 reports, are disqualified. All their scores are set to 0 (ie. they lose all matches) and they don't get a share in the rewards pool.

Play-offs
Players who fail to publish 2 reports per round, are disqualified. All their scores are set to 0 (ie. they lose all matches) and they don't get a share in the rewards pool.

Final Four
Players who fail to publish 2 reports, are disqualified. All their scores are set to 0 and they don't get a share in the rewards pool.

Rewards

Group Stage
10 AFIT for each point one
For players who played at least 3 matches and lost all, 10 AFIT are still awarded.

Play-offs
A pool of 400 ALIVE is shared among the participants (10 ALIVE for a win, 5 for a draw plus extra ALIVE for best players in each round).

Final Four
Share in HBD earned by @macfit during the season:
1st place - 40%
2nd place - 30%
3rd place - 20%
4th place - 10%

The winner additionally gets 5% share in all posts of the next season.
