Strava2Hive Rewards Post(and Update) - Week Ending 2026-01-04
Welcome to 2026!!! And welcome to our weekly rewards post for @strava2hive!
I've been doing a lot of work on images lately and finally found a solution to host images when the Hive upload feature goes down. I am going to look further at hosting the images on GitHub, possibly only when things go down as I don't think I would be able to keep the free tear of GitHub if I was uploading 200 images consistently, every week. It looks like a good option and might test it in the next week.
I'm sorry I have not enabled two image downloads from Strava and will hopefully make time for that in the coming week.
So this week, I have been working on:
- Continuing with monthly stats summary at the bottom of the Hive post
- Looking at alternative image hosting when the Hive upload feature goes down
Next week:
- Try to add a second automatic image download from Strava
- Release the monthly statistics summary to more users
It's great to see everyone still out and keeping active, even with the New Year festivities and some amazing snow in the Northern Hemisphere. We have 108 posts this week to Hive using the @strava2Hive service and looking like everyone is kicking off 2026 in the right way.
