Season 11 Heads-up

Hello,

Season 10 comes to an end next week. It's therefore time to announce schedule for Season 11. I am still pondering the details of the format, with strong inclination towards "Super League" with 20 players and Consolation Cup with 16 players (you may influence my decision by taking part in a survey).

At this time I can announce the starting dates:

Qualifiers (single round, "walk-alone" mode):

  • Friday, Sep 30 thru Monday, Oct 3.

Main season start (Round One of both Super League & Consolation Cup):

  • Friday, Oct 7

Super League

There will be no qualifiers, 20 players will participate. Here are the admission rules:

  • Season 10 Final Four players (4)
  • Season 10 Consolation Cup Winner (1)
  • Wild cards (5) from:
    -- @macfit - granted to @deepresearch for sponsorship of prizes in this season
    -- admin of @poliac
    -- admin of @poprzeczka
    -- main sponsor: @actifit (represented by @pjansen)
    -- special sponsor: @aliveprojects (represented by @flaxz.alive)
    -- if the Wild Card slots are not filled, @macfit ranking will be used
  • Highest ranked players (10), after the above are selected

As of writing, the following players are secure to participate:

Important: During the weekend of qualifiers (Sep 30 - Oct 3), Super League players need to post at least two valid report cards. There will be a special post in @macfit community and to be admitted, the perspective candidates will be asked to COMMENT that post with their two highest scores for the days of qualifiers. The sum of the two scores will count as their starting bonus.(It will work as sanity check of activity - failing to comment means no participation)

Consolation Cup

16 players will play in Round 1:

  • Season 10 Consolation Cup Runner-up, if they aren't admitted into Super League, otherwise the highest ranked who didn't get into SL
  • 7 seeded based on Ranking (after Super League selection is complete)
  • 8 from Qualifiers.

As of writing, the following players are secure to participate:

Qualifiers for Consolation Cup

Single round, 4 days of "walk-alone", with bonuses applied. 8 best will play on Consolation Cup.
By default only players who have scored in Season 10 will be counted in:

Players listed below (and anyone not mentioned here) can participate, provided they COMMENT the post that announces Season 11 kick-off (expect it to come on Sunday, Sep 25) and explicitly express they will to participate.

Upvotes and prizes

75% of HBD from upvotes on ALL @macfit posts creates the prize pool. (The rest is distributed between previous season's winners, admin and sponsors).

Tokens from our sponsors are distributed among:

  • 4 best in Super League and 2 best in Consolation Cup (AFIT)
  • players with special achievements (ALIVE)

HBD collected from upvotes is distributed among all players who participate.

@poprzeczka, @poliac, @pjansen, @flaxz - would you please think whom you want to nominate for @macfit Season 11 Super League? The Season starts on Oct 7, but I need the Wild Cards to be distributed by Sep 29th at the latest.

If you give your Wild Cards to players who are already in, or if you choose not to nominate anyone, the vacated slots will go to the players with the highest @macfit rank.

Players in various shade of yellow will participate in Super League, while those in blue will play in Consolation Cup w/o qualifiers:

@browery & @racibo - how about giving the Wild Cards to the highest ranked player in your competitions, who hasn't been selected for Super League by @macfit?

  • For @poliac: the only active player in Golden League who is missing on the Super League roster is @ptaku. It would be great to see him joining the elite.
  • for @poprzeczka: out of the 7 players still in the game, @homesteadlt, @matthew1 and @racibo aren't in Super League roster. So how about awarding the Wild Card to the one of the trio who achieves the best result in September.
