Rest day: February 6 2024

avatar

It's relative when calling a day like this a rest day: work, groceries, cooking, Hive, homework with the children, applying for triathlon licences,...

At least there was some time to think back to the great day I had on Sunday. Here are some pictures my daughter made for me

Do you mean that if you want to join a triathlon, you need to apply for a license first? 🤔🤯 !wine

Anyway, I wonder when the last time you participated in a triathlon was. 😅 !LUV

If it's a championship, one can only participate when he has got a license for that year. In other races everyone can participate, but you pay an extra fee for an extra insurance (or at least that's what they say !LOL !wine

I wonder why licenses are required to join championship triathlons where you live. 🤯 I thought that filling up lots of forms would be enough to join them. 🤔😅 !PIZZA

It's hard to tell the difference between "insurance" in general and "extra insurance". 🤯😅 !LUV

What for kind of "lot of forms"?
One needs a sports licence to do official competitions in every sport. Also in tennis, soccer, etc

What I meant is that perhaps multiple documents consisting of multiple pages need to be filled up just to be able to participate in a single competition. 🤔🤯😅

No only 1 document. And the licence are afew documents and papers to fill out (+payment lol) at the beginning of the season !wine

That means it is still true that on your first registration for a national competition on a given year, you have to fill up multiple forms and pages (both for the license and for the competition itself). 🤓😅 !PGM !LUV

The most forms need to be filled out before the season starts, or when the season has just started.... !HUG

Does that mean that there are still multiple forms to be filled up prior to joining a national competition, just not at the same time? 🤔🤓 !WEED !HUG

That means that every now and than before any competition still needs to be fillout out one or two forms, not multiple forms... !PIZZA !HUG

(Edited)

I consider "more than one" already as "multiple". 🤓😅

An "extra insurance" because we've got already an insurance from social security and in my case, I've got a private insurance covering me for accidents and illnesses... So there's no need to charge me for an extra insurance for "accidents" while participating in a competition !PGM !CTP

Does that mean if a participant in a sports competition gets involved in a (hopefully not) accident, he or she may get 100% or even higher reimbursement for medical expenses? 🤔🤯🤓 !PGM !CTP

I don't think it would be 100%. Or maybe it is (but not higher) !wine

It's because the work performance of a person will most likely be affected in accidents. 🤔🤯🤓 !LOL !wine

Some people may feel not "insured enough" when only their hospital bills are (partially or fully) paid for and they are unable to earn money because they cannot go to work yet. 🤔🤓 !LUV !wine

I don't know any insurance that covers these losses !wine

I know some, but you have to tell them a lot of details about your sources of income. 🤯🤯😅 !BEER

Looks like that's rare in your country. 🤯 Those I know operate in multiple countries anyway, so several countries may offer similar types of insurance plans. 🤓 !HUG

Maybe i just haven't heard of it. I might have to investigate. If you tell me names, it'll be easier.... !LOL !LUV

I think it would be much more efficient if you search for insurance plans which also compensate salaries due to inability to work due to sickness or accidents. 🤓 However, I know that you are (almost) always struggling with time per day. 🤯😅 !PIZZA !LUV
